Easy to install & holds charge better than I thought it would.

I bought this as a back up for the stick up cam. We got of camera powered by plug now, i wish that the ring cameras would build in a charger... i think it's one of the things they want to wait until you like the product for a few years, so you will buy the new cameras that have a charger built in. Sucks, but overall the battery is good, it does take a long time to charge. Depending on activity, low activity lasts over a month! Frequent activity 1 to 2 days.

It takes a while for it to charge, but does come with thebcharging cable & my husband installs it easy in the wireless ring camera

Definitely helped buying the battery! My ring cameras are connected to the solar panel but for some reason my left camera was struggling to stay charged. When I bought a secondary battery, it finally stayed charged all the time and triggered the solar panel to work. Worth the purchase!

I have a wired stick up cam I wanted to have a battery back up. I have it in a somewhat higher traffic area. I wanted to test the battery so I unplugged the camera. It lasted about 8 hours fully charged. Granted, I have my camera set up to take stills every 30 seconds and others set to the highest quality. And again, in a higher traffic area. It was not an issue with constant power. On battery full time, better dumb the camera settings down. Overall, an extra 8 hours or more during a power outage isn’t bad. I guess in the end it wouldn’t matter anyways due to the internet would be out too.

We plan on using this battery as a back up for the solar panel that will run this camera in back. Very easy to use - will see how it stays charged from the solar panel over the winter months.

I bought a second Ring battery so I can quickly swap batteries when one runs low. We live in a cold climate and they drain faster. Now I can keep security cam working 24/7.

Having a back up battery makes a huge difference. So glad Best Buy had it in stock and made it so easy to buy inline and pick it up. Not having to have long periods when the Ring is off cause of the need to recharge the battery is good. Having a back up battery that’s ready to plug in helps to bring a peace of mind.

Battery works great!! We bought several. They last a couple months or so.

I have had my Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus for less than 3 weeks and I have less than 50% charge remaining. The novelty of the system with two Chime Pros has probably caused me and mostly grandchildren to use system more than usual, and I am sure that once I become more familiar with the system, I can modify settings (including motion settings) to greatly extend battery life. I expect in the future to get 3 to 4 months on a charge which is acceptable to me. I purchased two batteries with the system, which I recommend, to avoid downtime when charging the battery which takes several hours (overnight probably the best).

Bought an extra battery that works great just like the one that came with the ring doorbell. The extra battery on hand is the best way to go after I wasted time and money with the so-called solar chargers advertised for the ring doorbell they are 100% worthless speaking from experience.
