Never experienced any issues with the drive. Power light on the front of the unit is helpful to remind you not to forget the power switch hidden on the back. ***STANDARD DISCLAIMER*** Be sure to ensure you have properly ejected your drive from your computer prior to disconnecting the dock's USB connector. The eject buttons on the dock are for physically ejecting the drive, not unmounting it! Failure to eject/unmount via the computer will result in data loss. TLDR: Works well and as advertised. 2 drive capacity is a benefit over other products if you're copying from one device to another.

Comes with the one USB cable you'll need and the power adapter. Just plug everything in and turn it on, drives will appear immediately without even a restart.

Not as difficult as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The hard drive on my HP desktop was on the way out and I bought the replacement hard drive at Best Buy along with the "toaster" that copies the programs. Even though I am not a techie the instructions were written clearly and the entire process took about 2 hours to complete. The new hard drive works great and this saved me $1,000 as compared to a new desktop.

The process is a bit convoluted in terms of instructions. Ultimately, I had to take my hdd to a recovery expert due to drive issues.

Very easy to use and could easily recover old files. Nice to also have a slot for a smaller laptop hard drive if ever needed. Has an on/off switch on the back so we can turn off when not in use. Only very minor negative is that it has no cover for long term use to keep out dust (when hard drives are inserted).
