Works great for cloning and backing up your computers

This thing does everything I needed it to do. I only wish it came with adapters for my older IDE drives. It was really useful for data retrieval and relocation after a catastrophic power supply failure led to a HDD crash.

Did exactly what I needed it to. Hard to save a dying hard drive and this allowed me to properly keep my Windows 10 Pro after I already replaced and closed up an ALL IN ONE 34 inch curved screen PC. That was scary, and the thought of doing it all again because the Windows transfer didn't take.

Needed it to look at data on hard drives. It works.

Great product to use on older harddrives that I need the data off of. Biggest discharge is I cannot boot from that drive from this adaptation. Whereas I can from most other USB adapters

These do exactly what I need them to do. Tried other options and this one just works everytime i need it to. Wish it was a little more compact but all in all its not bad.

Toaster style hookup allows for large or small hard drive swaps on the fly. Offers an organized look and external power supply that other cheap options don't.

Does the job perfectly. Allows access to an internal drive externally, and allows copying files from one to another.

It was great for reading and recovering 3.5 inch SATA drives that required power. It was an expensive buy so for technicians I would recommend grabbing it as necessary unless you need it all the time. Despite the Insignia brand it is something that I would recommend.

I removed the HDD from my old IBM computer that I was disposing of and wanted a way to access the data on it. The computer was quite old and unknown to me had an IDE hard drive. This docking station was not compatible with an IDE drive. I ended up returning it. Best Buy does not sell docking stations for IDE drives. I ended up buying one off Amazon but even it would not accommodate my drive so I returned it as well. Beware if you have an IDE hard drive as you may be hard pressed to find any product that will read it.

My computer motherboard crashed and rather than "transfer" the data from the C Drive into another computer, I just bought this docking station to add another drive to my networked computers. I now still have all of my data from my old drive but also have an Extra Drive. Suggested by the Experts at Best Buy.

Feels solid and well made, and transfers data almost as fast as an internal SATA connection. Very worthwhile if you have some extra HHDs or SSDs sitting around! Note that it needs to be plugged into an outlet!

It works. I have a SSD and HD inserted. When I switched to a laptop, I wanted to be able to use the SSD/HD I had in my old desktop and this works for that. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the speed of data transfer.

It’s true does not work with windows 11. Other than that it did just fine. If you need access to a drive immediately. Otherwise I’d wait for a USB C version. The older USB is painfully slow

This docking station allowed me to take the two 512GB drives from my failing pc and successfully access the data files from another pc. As a result, the associated downtime was significantly reduced, and I was able to continue to support my clients until the failing pc could be put back into service.

I bought this to pull data from old HDDs that I had laying around from old computers. Very convenient but sometimes its hard to tell which drive is which after plugging both in. I have used other USB HDD adapters but I keep coming back to this design.

Does what is supposed to. Works easily, would recommend.

I absolutely love this docking station. I have several hard drives from different computers ive owned over the years that no longer work and now i can use this to access old files and put it all in my external hard drive.
