It did require an adapter to connect to my router, but with the adapter it functions as intended.

I was trying to play Xbox live on an Xbox One X and it was so laggy I couldn’t even load Netflix and my internet WiFi speed was over 100Mbps. Turns out I was using an outdated Cat 3 wire and it was maxing my connection at 10Mbps. Get the cable that allows you to utilize the internet your paying for!

I'm not an IT professional who'll detect the technical differences between cables of similar specs, but this cable has done exactly what it needs to do for me as an end user. It looks nice, appears to be well-made, sturdy design, etc.
