Installing a wired Ethernet connection with this cable vastly improved my download speed from the crawling Wi-Fi on my new Dell machine. Should come as standard accessory with any tower PC.

We had to go old school, when an update to our desktop computer made it unable to pick up our WIFI. It has a nice thick casing to discourage curious kitties from biting it. The internet connection is even better than it was with the WIFI.

Ethernet is a must for gaming, esp when on the 2nd floor of the house or basement, if your wifi is not that great in those areas. This cord has worked great and has good range for placement, given its nice length.

Its a cable, I have used many cables. Some are blue some are gray. This one is gray. As cables go it does the job of a cable very well. i.e. allows information to pass through it. If you are buying a cable for this reason I would purchase said cable. If you are looking for a repelling rope I would not use this cable, I would use a rope designed for repelling. Would I recommend this cable? Yes but not for repelling. I repeat do not repel with this device..............

This cable is thicker and more substantial than other ethernet cables I have purchased in the past. My only problem is that I bought 50 feet when I needed at least 60 feet. I'll have to buy a connecter and add some cable I already own to reach my TV.
