The magnet is very weak so it just falls off all the time. I guess its defective but a poor design regardless. And I was traveling abroad so i missed the return window by two days

Bad pencil

The pencil only worked one time after using took it back they replaced it. I still have my older ipad and old pencil it still works no issues after 4 or 5 yrs of use Apple has a bad design I was told that this is a common problem with these pencil

Be Careful & Ask If This Is The Correct Pencil!

We had to return it for the 1st Generation Pencil because it wouldn't work with my wife's two year old iPad. It would have been good to find this out before struggling with it. A call to Apple cleared this up and we exchanged it for the older Pencil.

Terrible life expectancy .

When contacted apple they wanted to charge more than the cost of a new one to repair. It is set up so you have to use apple care on an accessory if you expect it to work longer than a year. Bad business practices as usually from Apple.

Pen isn’t working
