This latest gen pencil is not compatible with the latest gen iPad. How stupid is that??? Unbelievable to find out on Christmas morning that my daughters brand new iPad pencil combination would not work together. Why would you design something that doesn't work with your most popular product? The Apple Pencil is specific to iPads, but you design it to not work with most iPads? Someone at Apple's design team needs to be reassigned or removed from the decision-making process permanently.

Great pencil

I didn't like the way you had to charge it up. The 2nd gen version can charge by just laying it on the top of the tablet, which makes it very convenient. The pencil operates very smoothly, and gives the feel of using a real pencil.
