The new pencil is the primary reason that I upgraded to the new iPad Pro. I always hated the charging method and the roundness of the pencil. The 2nd gen version includes wireless charging when connected to the iPad, simple pairing to any 2018 iPad Pro just by connecting it on the charging side and the double tap feature that easily lets you switch between writing and erasing. Im sure there will be more options as apps are updated. These updates to the pencil cost me over $800 because of the new iPad i had to purchase to use the pencil. For some it may not be worth it and if that is the case, I totally get it, but as someone who has exclusively began using the writing apps for everything from meeting notes, room designs to doodling with my kids, this is a very welcome update.

Pencil has a great feel and works excellently with my IPad. Would definitely recommend to anyone on the fence about purchasing. Really love how it charges wirelessly on the tablet

Amazing pencil has a long battery life, comfortable to hold and overall just an excellent multipurpose electronic pencil.

Bought for my mom. To help her recover strength in her hands after undergoing an unexpected surgery that affected her. She loves how smooth and light it is. And it has done a great job to help in her recovery.

The best pencil, if you have the money go for it, only you have to be careful, but it is very handy and intuitive to use, also like the texture

I like this apple pencil better than the old one. The original was great, but every time I went to use it, it had been so long that the battery always seemed to be dead. the fact that this pencil charges wirelessly from the ipad makes it so much easier to keep at the ready for use.

Handy Tool for use with the IPAD. I love how it docks on top of the iPad and charges easily. SO creative. I am still learning how to write with it- basically using as a stylus right now, but I hope to learn more soon!

Love the ease and convenience of the Apple Pencil coupled with my Ipda

I really enjoy using my Apple Pencil! It’s been quite useful when it comes to digital drawing or even journaling on my iPad.

Works as advertised. The charging is simple & quick. It’s a little pricey though.

This is my first apple pencil. I love that it has a magnet so it charges when you put it on the side of the ipad. The magnet is strong enough to hold the pencil in place so it doesn’t fall or get lost easily. I have to say I feel the battery doesn’t last very long, but it charges really quick so even if you run out of battery you only need a few minutes for it to start working again.

This is the second time I purchased this pencil, so I must like it. My only recommendation is this: get a case that will hold the pencil instead of trusting the magnetic properties of the pencil and the iPad. As for the functionality. the pencil works great - I would recommend some apps like Pigment or Adobe Sketch to put the pencil through its paces. It has helped me in relying on my laptop for everything, and I look forward to additional functionality and app usage with the upcoming iPadOS.

The perfect company for ipad air. Its very sensitive. Great for drawing ans writing.

There are many apps on the app store that are great to use this pencil with if your interested in sketching/drawing. I let my grand-kids use this with a coloring book app and it keeps them entertained for hours.

My first apple pen and it has definitely been awesome learning how to use.

This is the best addition to my iPad. As a realtor, it allows my clients to sign contracts with ease with out printing a single piece of paper.

Works great! Love how it looks.. The price is a bit steep.. But that's kind of how Apple operates.
