Take the Pen.....

I use it so many ways and it works very well. The price is outrageous but that is true of most apple products. I am very happy I purchased it.

The magnetic charging with the ipad pro is ecstatically pleasing compared to the first generation. The sensitivity of the pen to the ipad is very smooth on contact and the writing is very fluid. I highly recommend this!

That being said, there are not a ton of apps where the pencil comes into play and oh boy, that price. It's an apple product so they charge what they want but even so, this is way high of a price for just the pencil (they don't even include some free replacement tips).

Do I really need one?

The pencil is something I will keep with the iPad for drawing, sketching, but most importantly annotating documents and signing documents.
