If you know the first-gen of Apple Pencil, then this is what that should have been. 1) wireless charging - not sticking out ready to break 2) magnetic attachment to iPad 3) no parts (no little cap to lose) Now, It's an apple product so it's going to be $$$. You also need the most recent version (as of this moment) to use. But assuming you have a new iPad Pro, this is a great add on.

I'm a current third year medical student, I love being able to use the Apple Pencil with my iPad, and not having to worry about charging it like the 1st generation Apple Pencil. The pencil works great, and attaches to your iPad seamlessly.

I owned the Logitech Crayon previously and used it with the iPad Mini 5 for about two years and I really enjoyed using the combo together. However, recently I decided to upgrade to the iPad Air for more screen real estate and also decided to purchase the Apple Pencil as well. Typically I never buy Apple-branded peripherals, because I think the extra premium cost is not worth it. I still feel that way after owning the Apple Pencil 2. I bought the pencil when it was under a massive deal and that is the only reason why I decided to purchase it. I have had the pencil for a while now and I absolutely love it, the feature that I really like is the ability to charge it by attaching it to the iPad. When I had the crayon I would forget to charge it and I felt like I would run out of power more with the crayon, not the pencil. One of the features that were enabled right out of the box was being able to double-tap the tip of the pencil to pull up the eraser. I was not a fan, because I always felt like I turned it on, but I am sure someone would like that. I really enjoy using this device and I use it a couple hours per day for school.

I have used the 1st generation so I was familiar with how to use it except this one has the double tap feature. I like how I quickly it charges when I place it next to my new 12.9 iPad Pro. No more extra chargers. I feel it's a little overpriced & wouldn't have purchased it had my 1st generation worked with the new iPad. I recommend it.

Loved the design and basic function of the device, however the price is very high so that is something to note, it attached magnetically to my iPad Pro. But beware it is very strong and will attract paperclips.

I am a beginner to the iPad Pro & Apple Pencil but so far I can say these two are a match made in heaven. The Apple Pencil is easy to connect via bluetooth and is even easier to use! I love that you don't need to carry around a charger for it - simply attach to the side of your iPad via the magnets and it will charge for you. Highly recommend the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen.

The Apple Pencil is one of the most interesting accessories your iPad can use. Whether for drawing, taking notes, or simply to use it in applications that need greater precision, it is very useful.

Bought the pencil in physical store. It was quick and no issue with the transaction. The pencil itself was easy to pair with iPad and easy to charge. Easy to get use to using it to do drawings on iPad too.

The iPad pencil 2 is a great addition to my iPad Pro. I do a lot of sketches for my work and this pencil makes drawing, erasing and writing a lot easier and more natural. The battery life is very good. This pencil makes my job so much easier, I couldn’t be happier.

As soon as I unboxed my beautiful brand new ipad pro, I knew I had made the right decision. With a sleek design and the new magic keyboard and second generation apple pencil, it makes the experience one to remember. Say goodbye to logging in on the slow PC’s at work and getting carpal tunnel from the uncomfortable mouse! Now you can access your websites in style. Draw and create masterpieces on a whim, take quick notes by swiping up from the bottom right of the screen, and watch your videos on the big screen! Sufficient to say, this iPad will change the way you work, and boost your personal creativity- giving you the tools to promote your productivity, and encourage your creativity.

This pen is so much better than the first generation. It attached magnetically to the iPad Pro for charging which is so nice. It also is really easy to use for artists using Procreate or other drawing apps. It doesn’t take a lot of pressure to recognize the pen either. It’s worth the money if it’s compatible with your iPad.

I’ve wanted to use the pencil since Gen 1 but waited until there was no need to awkwardly plug it into a USB-C port to charge it. Happy I waited for Gen 2. Feels great to use and is a nice addition to a compatible iPad.

Smart device for Apple iPad users. 2nd generation of the Apple Pencil is an amazing device. Apple managed to make a great first-generation product better in every single way. The downsides we listed above are nit-picking because the new Pencil is almost flawless. The experience of using the Apple Pencil with the new iPad and the right software is seamless and delightful.

I had the 1st gen pencil, this one is nicer. Charge and attach on the side of an iPad magnetically is great. It works great with the iPad os scribble feature. Love the tap to change the tip feature when drawing.

My daughter loves this Apple Pencil. She uses it for her home work, drawling , learning apps and games. I also use this Apple Pencil for work purposes and charting. It makes a lot a lot easier than having to type everything in manually with my fingers Originally I bought the wrong one and Best Buy was so helpful and accommodating me for a return and guiding me into the right one I needed.

As stylus go it's a great one, does what you want it to do my only complaint is that I wish that instead of tapping the side to switch the function you could have just put the back end to the tablet to engage the eraser. A few times I accidentally started erasing things when I started writing because I didn't realize I had tapped the pencil. I love that it keeps fingerprints off my screen as I use it almost exclusively to interact with the ipad now, However I'm not sure that the $120 price tag is worth it. I don't draw with it so maybe if you do it might be worth it.

The pencil is easy to use and I like the texture of the pen. The double tap option doesn't always work for me. I write with my hand and fingers close to the tip, and the pencil will not always pick up the double tap which can get annoying. Because of its smooth texture, it can be easy to drop. I dropped and damaged the tip a few days after my purchase and had to buy more pen tips. If you choose to buy the apple pencil, expect to buy pen tips because the pencil will NOT work with a damaged tip.
