Should it be cheaper? Most definitely, haha. But that's the price ya pay for seamless integration and a AAA experience.

Have not used it personally but those who have seem to like it. Like the fact it magnetically attaches itself to the I Pad and charges while attached. Caught a promotional discount to justify my 5 star value rating. Also not familiar with any aftermarket brands qualities.
