    It gets the job done, I use it to clean my little office at home, where I have a bunch of wires and devices connected. I cannot speak too much about the value for the money, because I believe most of the advantage is the convenience of a battery based model, but so far no complaints.

    This thing works fine and is attractive, but I don't think it warrants the price. There's a similar small, streamlined hand vacuum that costs about $40 and works as well, so I don't think I would recommend the Shark. There's a design flaw with this in that the on button is right next to the button that ejects a bunch the garbage out of the vacuum! It is very easy to mistake one for the other and wind up emptying all the crap you just vacuumed onto the floor. Dumb design, and since you are paying primarily for the design of this thing, it is hard to excuse. The button to open the vacuum and eject waste should not be that close or that easy to mistake for the on button.

    This was purchased after a 7 year-old handheld Shark finally gave up the ghost. We were more than pleased with the longevity of the older Shark after going through several Black/Decker units whose batteries never lasted beyond 2 years. This new Shark, while a bit pricey fills all the squares and then some. Ergonomics are excellent and it offers a number of thoughtful features. Definitely a winner.
