After two full days using this mouse, I'm finally getting the hang of it. It is difficult to get accustomed to the size and grip after over 25 years of using the standard mouse. I had no issues setting it up, as the included instructions were simple. It is easy to adjust the speed of the cursor and moves just as expected.

With the introduction of the MX Vertical Advanced Ergonomic Mouse, Logitech has given us a new twist on a classic computer accessory, blended with their standard of high-quality performance. You can connect this MX Ergo mouse to your computer either via the included USB charging cable, or wirelessly using the included Logitech Unifying USB receiver via Bluetooth. MX Vertical’s unusual shaped ergonomic design is what Logitech terms a “natural handshake position” which is meant to reduce wrist pressure, forearm fatigue and strain. And yet contrary to their claims, throughout the course of me trying out this mouse, I did not find myself moving the mouse around less, but rather, pretty much the same amount I would have with any conventional mouse. The roller wheel does indeed glide smoothly. And the position of the buttons are well-spaced and easy to push. The matte rubberized surface of this mouse was nice to the touch, and the texturized thumb rest made gripping the mouse loosely (yet securely) in my hand, a pleasant experience. Overall, holding onto the mouse was comfortable, at first. After a short period of time, however, the back of my hand, between my pointer and middle finger, began to hurt. Now I’m not sure if this was only because I was unused to maneuvering a mouse with this configuration and vertical shape, but it was enough to keep me from wanting to continue using this mouse. Please note - In order to fully utilize all the features of this MX Ergo mouse, you will need to install the Logitech Options Software. The interface for this downloadable software has the basics necessary, is simple to understand, and enables you to customize the buttons and set cursor speed (which you can then change with a quick push of the cursor speed switch). I, myself, have no use for Flow technology, so haven’t bothered making use of that feature. Though I do like being able to see all my connected Logitech devices all on one handy dashboard. Very convenient and well-organized tech. I like the envisioned idea of this vertically designed mouse. I’m sure it will fill a need with some people, and for others, present a cool novelty factor. Back in the day, I was a fan of the roller ball mice when they first came out. But, unfortunately, this Logitech MX Vertical Advanced Ergonomic Mouse is just not for me.

Do NOT buy! It will fail outside of warranty!

Unless they've made an update after I purchased this, the buttons are highly likely to fail shortly after your warranty expires. This mouse is far too expensive for buttons to fail like that. I've had ultra-cheap Chinese mice far outlast this junk. Just search online for button replacement or phantom double clicking and you'll see that it's known that the microswitches used in this mouse, and other Logitech mice, are failing far too soon. Since I'm out of warranty my only option is to replace the switches myself with a high quality aftermarket replacement, which I'll be doing soon. This mouse was too expensive to just trash and I like the ergonomics of it. I couldn't say how many clicks I've got out them but I highly doubt it's much over 5 million clicks. As an idea of how little that actually is for mice, the aftermarket replacement I ordered is rated for 80 million clicks and the lower end aftermarket options are rated at 20 million clicks. The cheap switches used in this mouse are rated for only 10 million but I'm confident that I haven't reached that count yet. Other mice in the market in this price range have switches with far higher click count ratings... Logitech used to make quality products and their customer support used to be good... what happened? I'm unlikely to be buying anything made by Logitech anymore.

This mouse has done wonders for the stiffness in hand while I'm working. The position at first was weird but within a few hours it was comfortable to move around and work.

not great, lame scroll wheel for the price

Too big for me. Odd that the scroll wheel quality did not match the rest of the mouse quality. The scroll wheel felt cheap, not MX Master quality. After coming from MX Master 3S the scroll wheel felt like it was where corners were cut. Clicky buttons.

Pretty pricey for a mouse, but it is truly a lot more comfortable than your regular computer mice. If you have trouble with your wrist, I can't recommend this enough.

    Wish it lasted longer

Purchased it about 3 years ago. Used it for about 2 years. The left-click button on this mouse has become unreliable, especially when trying to click-hold-and-drag. I expected it to last longer for a $100 mouse. I've had cheaper ones that lasted way longer. I also wish there was a cavity to put away the USB connector when not in use.

    Don't buy this mouse!

I bought it at Best Buy. It was almost impulsive because I was looking for an ergonomic mouse, specifically a trackball. But I saw this, put my hand on it and it felt great. So I bought it at the steep price (same as this one). I thought it would be worth it for the ergonomic position for my hand. So I got it home, set it up with the Blue-tooth and used it. It takes some getting used to but it worked fine. After I shut down the PC and mouse for the night, I put it on charge. Then the next day after work I booted up and turned the mouse on and it was fine. Well after a few hours of use it just stopped working. It was still powered up. I kept switching it on and off, I cycled through 1, 2 & 3 on the bottom button, no results. The PC said the Blue-tooth was connected too. So back the the regular mouse (also Logitech but no problems). Then I went to the Logitech website to find answers. What I found out is that this is a common problem for this mouse. What good is it then? So today I returned it to Best Buy and will get something else for between 1/4 and 1/3 the price too.

Hi! Sorry to see you were a having connectivity issues with your MX Vertical mouse. If you weren't aware, Logitech makes the Ergo Plus Trackball mouse that costs the same as the Vertical. That may have been what you were originally looking for. You do have a 1 year limited warranty that comes with purchase of the mouse, that can be used to get a replacement sent out to you. Here is the link to do so: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024921874-Warranty-MX-Vertical. I hope that helps!
