Bestbuy, the company I bought it from, did not provide any help in finding the serial number or making or changing the product, so I do not find it logical to buy such products from bestbuy.

I called Dyson, waited on hold for 30 minutes to learn what I already knew, product had to be exchanged. When you pay $500+, the product should work.
