    The microphones are much better at picking up a voice through noise and it’s much better at filtering out false positives. That said, it’s still far from perfect firmware wise. The Amazon ecosystem has some deep underlying flaws that I’m not super happy still exist.

    If you never knew what this item was, then think twice. Any relevant question, ie. Weather, music, appointments, reminders, alarms, Alexa is your personal secretary.

    She’s alright for it’s time but not as good as the 4th gen. Save your money and get the newer one. These are great for the bathroom though. 4th gen also blows away in sound quality.

    Got the echo dot free when i purchased a TV from best buy and I have honestly fallen in love with this thing. it’s a great companion for my smart TV.

    Just smaller in size. Same sound quality. They really should work on the setup and make it easier. Logging onto an unsecured wifi network seems a bit ridiculous. Can't get it to play music from my iTunes library, but it will play Amazon music (of course) and Pandora.
