Very simple to set up, it’s literally set up in minutes especially if you have and Echo device already. Wish the sound quality was a little better, especially with the bass in music, but still a good sounding device.

Easy to use and fun. Sound is pretty good. Great for setting timers.

The sound is much fuller and louder. The response to my voice seems better/improved. I have two sets of these set up in two different rooms playing stereo and I love that. The sound is so much better than mono. I compared this to a 2nd gen Echo and although not as good sound wise, it's much closer than the 2nd gen Dot. If I was buying today, I would skip the 2nd gen echo and get two 3rd gen dots.

I love talking to my Alexa every day. We use it as an intercom between rooms which is so helpful. Wish we had this when we grew up.

I didn't think I would like a smart speaker in my house but after just a few days I use it all the time!

Big upgrade from 1st and 2nd gen Echo Dots, I received this free with a tv we got, the higher audio quality made me want to purchase another.

Alexa is very helpful! I use her for notifications , to turn on and off my smart bulbs and the weather.

I was an Alexa virgin cuz I didn’t think I needed her .... boy was I wrong! Now I couldn’t live without her even tho I find very little help available ANYWHERE regarding answering very basic questions that Alexa virgins might need answering. Bottom line, I couldn’t be happier that I finally brought Alexa into my home. She really helps me in so many ways.

While this product looks great in any room, it does not compare to previous generations of the Echo Dot. While style is important to complement any room, the 3rd Gen audio is inferior to older models. Most notably the audio is muffled at times, especially when there is more bass in some audios. Additionally, it is more pronounced if you have a holder that mounts the 3rd Gen on on an electrical outlet. Also, when using such a mount the Echo Dot 3rd Gen is directional, and sometimes you need to be in close proximity . If style is your concern, then go for it, but audio, I would think twice.

It was an easy setup for my relative. She only needed ten minutes to set up.
