I resisted these type of items as we were t ready to give verbal commands to a speaker. We decided to try since it came with a tv. We are pleasantly surprised with how well this performs. Responds well to commands and accurate. If you have amazon account this is great for the free music and ease of ordering products. Will be looking to add additional amazon speakers to the house.

Love these things. I have three echo devices in my apartment and they all work flawlessly. Its really convenient to be able to control lighting, make alarms and timers, and look up general information from anywhere in the apartment, and hands free!

The Echo Dot is great when coupled with an Amazon Prime account. We have enjoyed listening to music, getting recipes, and turning on/off lights throughout the house with this little device.

It makes life easy if you know how to make good use of it. I can control the smart devices in the house. I can play music in multi rooms. I can drop-in and communicate with my kids in their room. I can drop an announcement to all devices. There’s so much more!

What a fun device to add to our home. We enjoyed setting our device up to outlets to control lamps by voice. Our daughter checks the weather everyday before school, we okay music almost daily, and we have reminders to announce everyone's birthdays in the house.

Works great for small space! Kids take it outside frequently so we don't have to worry about cracking screens on the larger version.

I'm not a fan of smart devices that listen to my every word. But this dot was free so I thought why not see what it is all about. Naturally my high school kids thought it was great, and immediately hooked it up. I wasn't a fan till I said " Alexa... play some shinedown"... all of a sudden I got music... and it sounds awesome coming out of this little dot of a speaker. OK... music on demand... I'm listening. But still... I unplug it when I'm done because I'm pretty sure she's listening too. 5 stars for Best Buy and their service. Actually 5 stars for the dot. I just needed to knock off one start to recognize my paranoia of the smart technology.
