This is my third echo dot. Love the constant updates. Provides very good sound from such a small speaker.

I dont know why I’m just now writing a review for the 3rd gen but oh well. Short and sweet. Good device for the price I got it for $24.99 and it’s still going strong. I have the 4th gen and there is little difference except in the speaker layout and aesthetic. Still a great little smart assist.

Love it! I put it in the kitchen and use it as timer and for converting measurements.

Decent sound, it isn't a Bose so it doesn't sound like one but it works great for a college kid

From playing music, controlling lights and plugs, ..... we are still exploring all the possibilities. My kids also use it to validate their math homework. (e.g. multiplications, division, conversions)

I had also purchased the Google assistant system and found the echo to be a bit more user friendly so I purchased 4 of them. Great item!

It's a decent smart speaker with so-so sound. It's ok for a spare area, but don't plan to use it for listening to music.

Gave this as a gift, and she loved it!!! Besides the sandstone beautiful color, she instantly became an Alexa fan! She says she loves having her favorite music on hand!

Got this for Christmas gift for daughter. Can't really comment on quality of speaker. Give it five stars, cause of the price from Best Buy and ease of curbside pickup.

The wife is driving me crazy. So I say Alexa tell the wife to shut up! That didn't work so she plays soft music for me. LOL

This replaces a regular Echo Dot and adds a clock! It’s a great addition to my studio. Best Buy’s delivery choice was interesting. It arrived at the local distribution center in St Louis but for some reason was then flown to TEXAS, only to be flown BACK to St Louis & eventually delivered to me. Very strange delivery routing.

If you need an inexpensive Amazon speaker device this will fill the bill. Obviously the price should continue to fall.

A lot of fun and a daily task helper. I have one in every room in the house and it makes life a lot easier and controls things that I no longer have to touch by hand.

It's so fun to have a smart speaker, make lot of fun with it, sound quality was fair. For Music lovers, go with a bigger version.

I truly love my Echo Dot. This is the second one I purchased for myself. I've purchased a total of 4 Echo Dots. Two as gifts for other friends, one as a birthday gift and the other as a Christmas gift.

I have one of these in my bedroom and in my childrens bedroom. We like to make calls to each other from the amazon echo even though we are only a room apart. Any time you have any questions that pop into your head no matter how crazy or random they are you can just say for example : " Alexa who many cups are in a gallon" or "who sings -name a song-" and the device will answer. You can asked it to play any song or my kids love to ask it to tell them jokes or one of their favorites is " Alexa play the f.a.r.t song" and it does. Granted keep in mind i have 2 boys and they are 10 so its more then amusing for them. Its great entertainment.

I use it to control my lights and listen to music for my toddler. She is 2 and knows how to use voice command to turn it own. The music quality is pretty good for such a small unit.

I have many Echo Dots and I am generally not a fan of it. The only utility it ever serves is to turn the light on/ off. Otherwise, it lights up at random times when it 'thinks' that we said Alexa. The speakers are of average quality. In general, I believe the "Smart Speakers" are a solution in search for a problem.
