Great bargain & easy to get

I got the device on a lack Friday special price. Even though Amazon didn't have any in stock, Best Buy honored the price & even threw in a smart lightbulb. Also took full advantage of the onsite pick up of the speaker. Very very nice feature at the stores.

Great to for son's room

When he is online gaming with his head phones on he does't hear me or notice my texts/calls. I am injured so going up and down the stairs each time is not pleasant. Now he can see the lights on the Echo Dot and respond. Also, it is a VERY effective way to wake him up for school (he will sleep through (alarms)!!!

When you pair with your smart tv or streaming device, it comes in handy when you accidentally misplace your remote. This is my 2nd one and I recommend getting one.

Best Dot yet

This one has a much improved, very sensitive microphone, one that I don't have to speak to twice to wake it up. The built-in case is also a great add-on. My continuing complaint about Echo in general is that it doesn't know much. Great for scores, schedules, local weather, current news, connections to to-do & shopping lists and calendars. But ask it for information about something complex, and I find it usually fails - "Hmm. I don't know that." No comparison to Siri or, especially, the best of the bunch, Okay Google.
