I love my echo dot. Brought it into work when I am there by myself. Works great.

The Echo Dot is nice however there aren't any safeguards for a child to accidentally place an order. Plus sometimes Alexa will start talking from nowhere. If you can get past that, then you'll enjoy it. Makes a great gift too!!

This is just like the last gen but with a clock and better sound. Works just great! I love it.

It helps to have a hands free life, excellent when you have always your hands very busy or are in a hurry. It can be used as an intercom, As a secretary to make notes or lists, you can download contacts to place phone calls, listen to audio books, weather, news, music, and to do chores around the house with devices connected to Alexa, like guarding the house, turning on/off the lighting, opening garage doors, etc.

All in all this is a great product but there are a couple things that need to be addressed. 1. needs a small battery source to keep the clock/alarm active. If power or Wifi goes out- clock and alarm are gone. 2. the plug takes up 2 outlets on the power strip. I believe this is a 3rd gen issue only. It is amazingly quick to wake up and perform requested skill. The volume is much louder than anticipated but does sound slightly muffled. Not huge issue but will try to continue to tweak. The product itself feels extremely well built.

I have the second generation and echo but definitely like this better and still learning it!

I have the amazon echo and was looking for a speaker to put in my room. This is perfect.

It’s not as good as the other Alexa devices, but then again, it’s smaller. I keep mine in the bedroom as an extra speaker

I have multiple of these Echo Dots in different rooms of the house. Very handy for making announcements (dinner is ready; you have a phone call) to the family even when I am not sure which room they are in. Great for calling down to the basement too. I like the feature where the light ring around the dot let’s you know you have a notification (line of a delivery) without making a sound.

Love Alexa and the ease of playing any song that comes to mind.

Alexa makes my life easier with just a sound of my voice and paired it with any smart plug with no problem
