This 3rd generation echo dot is awesome! I had the original one and I wanted to upgrade and I am so happy that I did! The speaker on this little echo dot is amazing and now I don’t need to connect it to a Bluetooth speaker for better sound. And I love the rubber bottom bc it stays in place on my granite countertops!

Easy and convenient to use. Easy set up. It's nice not having to use a remote.

This is a great little smart speaker to add to your connected home network. Use it in a bedroom, garage, patio, anyplace you want to have Alexa remind you of something, page your family or play some music.

This 3rd Gen Echo Dot is good in my opinion. It has a loud enough speaker that I can understand what Alexa is saying and when playing music it sounds as good as a radio tuned to Max Volume. The only thing is that constant listing for the "Wake" word which is worrisome in today's age of privacy invasion. But for the most part, it is a fun addition to your smart home if you choose to go down that path of Automation.

Fill your house with very good sounding speakers. I have enough of these that I am able to go from room to room and have great sound at a respectable volume. I have a large house and I have already purchased 6 of these units. It certainly beats blasting one stereo throughout the whole house!!!

The sound quality of this 3rd gen is so far above that of the 2nd. It is like going from an AM to an FM signal. Full, rich tones that seem to be coming from every corner of the room. There are also the technology advances for us geeks, but my guess is most people are using them as speakers so that feature alone makes this a worthy upgrade!

I love this item. I listen to Gospel or RNB music when I'm going to bed. I also listen to meditation or rain fall or ocean sounds if I'm having problems going to sleep. I can have Alexa place a call for me or text as long as the other person has the echo dot. You can ask directions, jokes, or any questions

Good sound new design and more settings make it a worthy update to its predecessor. Like the new color and input.

Very nice sound, user friendly, easy to connect to wifi

Great addition to my other Alexa devices. I have one in every room even bathroom lol. It's a great help especially setting up reminders/alarms which I have memory issues sometimes. Easy connection to WiFi and ready to go.

This was free with purchase of Honeywell thermometer. The sound is fine for podcasts and desktop speaker. It can be connected to Bluetooth speakers or even wired speakers for higher fidelity. I didn't think I would use it but find I have used it much more as we automate things in the house.

These small speakers with mics connect via wifi to the internet and can be used to answer questions, set timers, and control "smart" switches, lights and thermostats in the home using voice. This can also play music, but for extended listening a bigger device such as the full-sized Amazon Echo will sound better.

Purchased this for my father-in-law who is the least technical person I know - he owns a flip phone and doesn't have an email address. He can use the Echo Dot with no issues and loves it. Just talk to Alexa and she'll do the rest - or tell you she doesn't understand what you are asking.
