Nice Echo Dot. I like being able to control it from the app on my phone. I use it to listen to Sirius and podcasts. I also like to get weather updates. If I leave the room and forget to turn it of I can do it through the app.

But I am glad it came as part of the package...I do have Amazon Prime and using this really is cool...I tell it to shuffle music and it does...ask for weather, it provides....and my kids love it. They've actually used it to get homework answers. I almost got the new one, but for not, this works.

These are awesome! Ive git one in every room. When im doing chores i just play my music from aleca in a group and plays on all speakers! 10/10 would recommend if on budget

I use my Echo for just about everything. I'm disabled and use my Echo to control lights, switches, fans my television and even the lock on my door. I listen to a lot of music and when necessary use it to call family and friends. I would be much less independent without it.

Honestly my house is basically all smart and I feel like as a single mom of two kids Alexa is my assistant. She reminds me , alerts me , give me news and sets my alarms and lights , open my garage I mean all thru my echo. I love it easy to set up no issues

I love it and the grandbabies love it because they can play different songs and they get to play sing along with it they get to ask a questions and she answers it she lets us know the weather or she lets us know the time and if we want to hear a particular song she played it for us.

It entertains the kids and allows them to add chocolate cake to our shopping list every time I'm at the grocery store. Plays music and allows me to drop it on them. Outside of constantly having to remove chocolate cake from my shopping list it's pretty handy.

I honestly never wanted one. But since it came with my tv purchase I decided to go with it. No idea how I have gone without. Very user friendly. Only thing is I wish there was a way to give multiple commands...which there may be and I havent figured it out yet.

My husband bought this for me on a whim and I didn't know how much I would use it....boy was I wrong!! This thing is now my lifeline! I was always a "sticky note" person, not now!! I just tell Alexa to remind me and she never lets me down! Every busy parent should have one!!

I was pleasantly Surprised at how this lil Speaker Fills the Room (Apt) Sound is Great & the Selections of Content is amazing. Radio Stations, Podcasts, TV Shows, Books, Live Radio Shows, etc, etc, I've purchased (3) so far. Highly Recommend it.

Got this speaker on discount at $19. It far surpasses my expectations at Tha tprice. It sounds pretty good and looks awesome. I can also control my smart home stuff with it. It's a great device if you want to get multiple smart speakers at a low price.

To be clear: I love Alexa, and love having control over the various lights inside and outside of my house. I have an Alexa Show and 2 other Echo dots, in addition to this new Echo Dot. I haven't really noticed any difference in performance, or how well Alexa listens with this new Echo Dot. It does however look quite a bit better, so I think that's worth something. Still, not really much of an upgrade from the previous generation in my opinion. Works great though for what I needed it to.

Love this little Dot! Instead of having to find my calendar or notepad to write down everything I'm about to forget, I just tell Alexa! Fantastic. I can listen to music from Amazon Music or get the weather forecast or even the latest news reports just by asking Alexa. : )

This smart speaker is fantastic. It wakes me up and puts me to sleep with music or rain. It also helps me keep up with all of my schedule appointments. It's connected to my 55in Insignia Smart TV as well as my Android phone. I can be at work and drop in on the children to check and make sure they're okay. I'm about to purchase several smart Gadget's that'll link up to this Next Generation Echo box as well. MODERN TECHNOLOGY HAS TAKEN OVER.....

Great item and a useful tool for anyones house. Love being able to set multiple timers at once, get answers to most questions, and have a news feed played for me each morning. Highly recommend these. The sound quality of the Gen 3 is great, and much better than the other versions.

I am slow to buy new things but got this with the purchase of a Fire TV. Using voice, it can turn on and off my Roku sticks and Fire TV, alarms, reminders, news, weather, and music.

Looks great and blends in well with a modern style home and the microphone works quite well. Sometimes too well when it activates from hearing Alexa or something similar out of context. Works great with smart home devices and is a great price for all of its functions.

Nice to have this small unit outside for music while cooking. Alexa can sometimes be challenging...

Latest generation of the Echo Dot for half price and a smart light bulb thrown in for free was a deal too good to pass up. Everything works perfectly with fairly easy glitch-free setup and everything was in stock for same day pickup at the local store.
