The 3rd Gen sounds way better than the last Gen. Fuller sound. Slightly bigger though. The cloth exterior looks better.

I use my Echo dot to play music, make purchases from Amazon, to set timers and operate my lamps/ smart bulbs.

Granddaughter loves that she can now listen to music while she sleeps and gets dressed in the morning. She can also ask Alexa questions she has about anything now also. She loves her Echo, it was a perfect gift for an inquisitive little teenager.

I have purchased several Amazon echo devices; dots, shows, etc These smart speakers were such a great price to get people to easily use new tech.. Just for playing music, telling temperature, time, spelling words, definitions, etc. Great to use

Great little speaker! I have other Alexa devices so it works along with them in the Alexa app. I had trouble connecting this at times and it would often lose connection. That was frustrating but not a problem with the overall product. When on sale, it's a value but I would recommend buying these only for additional rooms in the house. Look for an Amazon Show product as this is very limited.

Amazon's Echo Dot is easy to install and works with Alexa, which adds great value for finding information and playing your favorite music. I put an Echo dot in 3 rooms.

I love this color. Alexa’s are the new way to live lol I have one in each room. Never disappointed. They turn on and off my lights and play my music w no problem

The echo dot 3rd generation is great because for such a small speaker it sounds clear and loud, much better than older models, and the options to grow with it are huge. Highly recommend getting some for your house, especially when Best Buy has promotions on these.

Work excellent for what I needed them for. Used primarily as wireless doorbell in conjunction with my blink camera due to some wiring issues at home. Work well as casual speakers around the house too

I wanted something handy for my niece that lives out of town. She is only 6 and uses the Alexa feature to help her with homework and to call me. She's too young for a cell and the echo dot allows her to call me. She loves it and so do I. Excellent device at a great price.

This Alexa generation is the best yet! I also have the 4th Generation that was gifted to me and it is not as good as the 3rd generation. The voice-enable function in the 3rd Gen Alexa is just great, it can listen to your soft voice commands.

I Got three of these on sale, completely aware of the fact that there is a more recent model available. I used these to help in turning my apartment into a smart apartment—placing them in my bathroom, closet, and bedroom (I already had ones in my kitchen and living room). Set up was extremely easy. They sync’d together automatically (everywhere group). Now things like playing music throughout the apartment or just having Alexa change the music while I’m showering are super nice. Was a pretty inexpensive way to upgrade my space. Pretty good deal, in my opinion.

I bought this because I have the regular echo in my kitchen and I use it for almost everything. I bought this one because I needed it for my bedroom and it was perfect for it. I definitely recommend this to any first timers who are interested in buying an echo.

Had the first generation, and enjoyed for years. This device has a lot more options and advantages. Their is not a day that we don’t use it for “question of the day” and reminders. ie. “Give dogs their pills at 9:00 am and pm each day, meetings, appointments, special occasions, etc.

Echo dot has come in handy I since I got it, real easy to set up took up like 5 mins to connect. Works great with our tv and my wife loves playing music on it throughout the whole house I bought a few more for the other rooms. Best part Alexa tells me a joke everyday...

I had an Amazon Echo Dot already and love it so much I wanted another. So many uses that I don’t know how I did without it. From the news & weather to music, meditation and making lists I can access on my phone, Alexa makes things so much easier.

Great small Alexa for a bedroom. We have them in all our rooms and use them all the time. The kids especially find them useful asking all kids of questions, setting reminders and alarms. We use them like an intercom too.

Great addition to our Amazon Hub. I added this one to my bedroom where I can use it for my personal things when in the bedroom. Best part I got it free with the purchase of the camera.

I started to convert my home into a smart home in late 2017. I did the usual smart thermostat, robotic vacuum, some switches/outlets as well as light bulbs. This has tied it all together and I find myself wishing I had an echo everywhere I go. I will soon be adding one to my office at work.

Very active at picking up commands. Also lots of gadgets to connect it and smart bulbs are nice to connect.
