I'm 72 and my grandkids of course were the ones to install it for me. Love it I have music in different rooms and every morning I asked about the weather...so now prepared to know what to expect.

Perfect addition to our home. Its so much easier to just speak to alexa and ask her literally whatever we want! "Whats the weather?" "What time is the Dallas Game?" "Tell me a recipe for chicken stir fry" She literally can answer it all!

It was a Best Buy for me and my family…because I love to listening to my favorite music

Aside from being a great small speaker it is basically connected to the web info so if you need to know something just ask Alexa. I love using it to turn on several items in the house but specially my a/c before i get home from work.

For a long time I swore I would never have a device that listens to me at home, now I can't live without Alexa and my Echo Dot. Great sound from such a small package. I use it to control lights ask questions play "sleeping sounds" radio stations all by voice.

Works the way it says. Nice sound with music. Easy to setup. Get more use if you have amazon prime.

I didn’t think I would like something like this. I’ve been avoiding these devices for years and now that I finally have one my house is totally smart with Alexa. There are so many things I can do with this and the Alexa app. I am happy I bought it.

I love my echo dot. I have four of them and they really help make my life easier. It hears you almost all of the time and I've run into very few issues with it overall. I really couldn't ask for a more helpful device.

Love the echo dot. Works great with additional automated switches, Apple Music, and Sirius radio.

It came with the firestick tv I purchased for my mom. She loves how easy it is to use. She is 72 years old and loves it. She makes show request via dot and it comes up on her tv.

The new generation of the Echo Dot is great for any room. The sound is really improved from yesteryear so was real quick to find a new home in the basement for my old Dot and put the new one in a room I spend more time in. No complaints!

Learning more and more about using the smart home features, have lamps connected, garage door opener connected. Next will be the thermostat. Got an Echo Show 5, will probably send one to some of the family so we can see how old we've gotten, LOL!

Love the quality of the sound and the size. Setup was fairly easy. I bought the newer editions as a Christmas present for my kids and it was a major success! The only thing I would change is the color. I didn't like it as well in person.

Bought this along with ring security system and now i use to automate my routine tasks by commanding alexa to perform them. Love the alexa skills and the support from the community! Easy to setup and getting started

Perfect for streaming music, news, podcasts, etc. Connects to "all" devices for whole home entertainment. Use as alarm clock. Every bedroom has one. These are great!

I was able to get this Echo Dot at a sale price that I just needed to try it out. I am still learning how and what it can do for me but wife has actually taken to it more than me. She has used it daily to play Christmas music. I would give it a higher star but I am just not utilizing it enough right now. I can see it has potential to do a lot, it will just take time.

I like the improved easier setup for this generation’s Dot’s compared to Gen 1. They setup with Bluetooth on my phone much simpler than old ones did. I only know this when I got a new router and had to reset their network settings. They also sound much fuller than Gen 1. My family loves to make announcements on all 5 of them scattered around the house, or “drop in” on anyone of them to “intercom”. I live in an old house and would never even think about fixing the broken intercom from the 1970s. These ARE the modern intercom :)

if you have nobody to talk to then alexa will make a perfect friend. She doesn't judge any of the weird stuff you're into like tea parties with science class cadavers (or whatever your hobbies might be). Good for a laugh!

Works great. Price was competitive. I keep it in the kitchen for entertainment. When working in the yard, i can put it on the windowsill and hear it easily. This is the third I have owned. One got dropped, and one is in use in another room.
