Went from 2nd Gen to this one. They work with no issues no matter which model you get.

We already have two dots and have just added a third! The whole family loves these devices, they are really convenient and fun. Good speakers and great quality product.

I really don't use it much for anything other than music when I want. But it does a great job at finding obscure punk bands that no one else has heard of.

I recommend this product especially for elder. It does and commands everything you want it to do.It even control your lights if you have any of the smart senses products

We have a full sized echo and multiple dots-yes the speaker is not as good as the full sized-but the small size allows you to put it just about anywhere. Reportedly the speaker is better on the 3rd gen compared to 2nd-I don’t really appreciate a difference. Aesthetically I do think it’s an improvement on the prior generations. It’s very simple to connect to a Bluetooth speaker if you are unhappy with the sound.

Speaker is low quality but gets by if you have multiple speaker around the house and connect them all. But if your looking for a cheap smart home alternative hood way to go. (Bought mine on sale wouldn’t recommend if not)

My life feels good calling Alexa and she answers. I told my teenage son I was gonna replace him with this device..lol. great product.

Echo Dot third generation works amazing I can tell her what I wanted to do and it controls my thermostat and it controls my lights I would highly recommend this product

A great smart device to have in every room. It becomes a added convenience once you learn how to use and the sound is really clear. And the price is unbelievable.

If you're into voice command and big brother Alexa, this is the device for you. I have several of these in my house and enjoy yelling at them constantly.

I first purchase the Echo Input for my Dayton Audio APA102 class D amplifier with auto on; for hands free music at 60 watts per channels output for bookshelf speakers listening. The Echo Input work great with this amplifier. Return the Echo Input for the Echo Dot (3rd Gen) because the Echo Input only has one blue LED light on the surface top center to let you know that its listening, very hard to see this small LED blue light. The Echo Dot (3rd Gen) has a full blue ring around the surface top. This blue ring can be seen easily from across the room; so much nicer. The 3rd Gen is worth the few extra buck.

Great use it all the time. I listen to music,news,jokes all kinds of things it’s endless. It’s on all the time I own 3 for different rooms.

This product was a great stocking stuffer, small but with great sound quality.

Alexa is very helpful for around the house. It gives you reminders, plays music channels, and a whole lot more. I am happy to have purchased this lifesaver product!

I had a 1st generation alexa and it didn't work too well, I bought this won and it connected to my phone and wifi so easily and works like a charm!
