This a replacement for 2nd generation echo dot as it stopped working. I find the 3rd generation is superior in sound quality and reliability.

Works like other Alexa Devices. No prob to set up the kids have them in there room to use as there device. For music and asking all kind of questions .

The speaker on this is awesome. The only thing I wish this had was a rechargeable capability. The power plug is pretty big so cannot be hidden easily.

I purchased 4 of this and placed them around the house to include the patio. The beauty about it is that I can play music through all at the same time.

Nice and compact. Works great! Had some trouble setting up with my smart lights but works fine now.

Have a 2nd generation and the difference in sound quality is huge! Definitely recommend upgrading or spending the extra money if you're purchasing for the first time.

Great product my son love it he can set up everything

I bought one for my sister and one for my parents. They live near each other in another state. My parents are elderly and sometimes need to call my sister in the middle of the night. The plan was for them to have this in the bedroom and just ask Alexa to call my sister if necessary. However, once we set it up, they love having the Amazon music plus the other skills that Alexa can be taught so we bought a second one for my parents’ living room/kitchen area. They can even use the intercom skill to speak directly to my sister in her house without needing a phone!

I use this to listen to music while I am resting. Sounds great and is simple to set up.

This is my 4th echo dot and it sounds great in places you don't need super loud sound. The garage, the laundry room, a bathroom, etc.
