Loud little speaker. I love to ask Alexa for the morning weather, fun facts, things that happened on this date, play me music (with my amazon music acct), set multiple alarms, drop in to other rooms, make lists, set up reminders. It's a handy device that I enjoy using.

These little devices are amazing. I have several placed around the house. The sound quality is good for their small footprint. You can use this device with a smart plug to turn lights or small appliances off and on with just a voice command.

I have about 15 echo devices in my home. I love the architecture of what they can do. This third generation dot has a great improvement in sound quality over the previous ones. In fact, it is very close in quality to my Amazon Tap, which I feel is one of the most underappreciated echo units. I buy the Dot holders which allow you to display the Dot on the wall, plugged into the wall, hiding all the cords. They work perfect for our bathrooms and bedrooms. My wife has a dot on her sewing table which gives her the perfect amount of sound for the small area. I pair one up with my home stereo and use the line out port to run the sound through my Klipsch speakers. Sound is amazing. I also subscribe to Amazon Ultimate Music and love that service. You can find anything to listen too. Heck, my old neighbors' son started a band, recorded an album, and Alexa had it on release day. So cool! Anyway, when these go on sale for under $20, it is a no brainer. Great value and pretty good sound.

This is our third Alexa device and I cannot day enough great things. The capabilities of this little device are endless. While it is not as loud as the larger Alexa device, this little guy does provide a ton of power. Really love the abilities it has and the ease to connect it to smart devices.

Got this free with a purchase of a MacBook. I never thought I needed one of these but the convenience of being able to play music and ask questions hands-free is amazing!

Perfect size for my sons room. It allows him to listen to the music he wants. We also use it for an alarm and of course to answer the millions of random questions he has. Best impulse buy ever.

All of the Echo products are really slick and Amazon did a GREAT job in designing them and making them super easy to use. For the price, this little device cannot be beat. Go ahead and pick one up and then simply enjoy it. It is very powerful in sound and capabilities for its size.

There is not a lot to say that hasn't been said about the Alexa Dot but I too am a big fan. I use it for an alarm, music and to control various smart home features. The 3rd generation seems to understand better than past generations and the overall sound quality seems better to me as well.

I am not much into the smart home devices but our kids are. So when I saw this on the sale table, I went ahead and picked it up. It was easy to set up and is fun to ask random questions to. Even bought a second one for upstairs and linked them together. May even now start looking into other smart home devices.

I purchased this to go in my sister's room. We basically use it to control her smart bulbs and other smart devices in the house. It works great. Combine it with a wall mount and it is completely out of the way. It works great with our other smart devices as expected.

I received this echo dot free with my fire tv purchase and honestly I’m surprised I didn’t buy one after using this I absolutely love it and it is worth the money

The echo dot has been a really awesome purchase for us. At first I didn’t want to buy it, but my son said it would be good to have and he was right. We can ask Alexa any question and she gives us the answer. I can drop into our sons room and talk to him from our room.

The Echo Dot (3rd Gen) works great. We are able to listen to music, turn on lights with smart bulbs and drop in on other Dots in different rooms to announce meals are ready, etc. It is small so doesn't take up much room, but it has great sound. We purchased two dots on sale.

The Echo Dot is amazing. Sounds great and had lots of features and settings. We mainly use it for the music but also have a lot of lights on it. That is a nice feature. We use the timer a lot and the alarm to wake us up when necessary.

I see this as the start to my new smarthome - the cameras, the plugs, the lights, it's all coming together and this little gem is the centerpiece = so easy to use, easy to integrate, easy to look at... also, even if it's just used as a speaker - sounds great - 5 stars all day - but.... I wish it could turn off my tv...

Connects with all of my alexa devices and echo show. I can communicate with my daughters using the device like a home intercom. Music sounds great, the device looks great, and using these school dots as one whole system I can play music on all my echo dots at once making it a pretty good in home sound system.

These are great. Sound quality is great for this being simply a point of contact with Alexa. It is good enough to enjoy audio books and even for music as well when you are doing something else and just want to hear some music like when in the bathroom or doing the dishes for example. If you want are wanting to listen to music for music itself, this will even get the job done well but this is not really meant to listen to music as when you put music to sit and listen to music. When you want to do this, then you are naturally going to want to use your stereo system with its big speakers instead or your can buy the bigger Echo speaker unit. The other option you have is that you can plug the Audio out on the Echo Dot into your stereo system and get the big sound of your stereo system and speakers but the convenience using Alexa to provide you with the music you want to find and listen to and as well your audio books, news etc.

The Dot is a great way to expand your access to Alexa. Easy set up with the app and tiny footprint makes location very convenient. Was a bonus with a TV purchase so the price was fabulous.
