I had a 4.8 that would always get clogged. Warranted it out for the 4.5 version. First replacement had a bad strut I was told. Second appeared to be working but had a ding in the side. The third made a noise like the first replacement. Decided to go with a LG thin Q washer now waiting for its arrival. I also have a new house with whirlpool products and the microwave just had a diode replaced.

The seal that keeps the water in also collects all the animal hair and is very challenging to clean up afterwards.

Delivery service installed both pedestals wrong and the washer would not work out of the box. Washer would squirt some water into the detergent cup and put soapy water in on the clothes but the washer would not fill the drum with water. Kept giving error code of LO FL. Called Maytag Customer Service and went through all their checks. No dice. Went back to Best Buy and credit returned the whole sorry mess. Beware Maytag quality made in Ohio.
