Sturdy headset, but not really worth the price.

Honestly, the headphones are comfortable. BUT for this price point the audio just isn't up to snuff. Even after editing the EQ's in the software as recommended by others it just still wasn't worth the price. To top that off I had random issues with the headset disconnecting from the base station. That said the build quality of the headset is great. Feels very sturdy, adjusts well. Sad the microphone doesn't remove, but it sounds pretty great for a headset. The biggest draw is the dual audio channels you get, allowing you to balance your game and discord/party chat on the side of the headset. Surprisingly a useful feature.

I hooked them up to my Xbox and they didn’t work because I needed to plug them into my computer and update the firmware software on the wireless base station. Once I do that and downloaded the Dolby and Astro app on my Xbox’s was pretty easy to use. Only thing I don’t like is the very top cushion piece on it pops off really easy every time I put it on my head. For the $250-$300 u spend on this I think it could have been made a little bit better to where it doesn’t pop off super easy like it does on mine.

Best Astro Headset I’ve ever owned. I upgraded from turtle beach 700’s and I’m glad I did! Never going back to those staying with the Astro A50’s there is more sound, better knowledge during a call of duty game of where an enemy is or reloading from. Super super comfortable for long gaming sessions. The pull down mic is great and everyone can hear me just fine. If you have the means get the Astro A50’s you won’t regret it!!!

Overall, I've been happy with this headset. The construction feels solid. My previous headset was a cheap Turtle Beach unit, so this was significant upgrade. The improvement in sound quality and build quality is quite substantial. This headset has some nice features and works well with both my PC and PS4 Pro. Wireless is really convenient. Battery life is great. Satisfied customer.

This is my third Astro gaming headset. They don't seem to last very long without quickly developing problems with either connecting to the base or the battery going out. The App is famously broken and customer support is lacking. While it was working it's a wonderful product. Great audio quality and comfortable to wear but they just don't seem to hold up for very long considering the inflated price.

Overall the other reviews are accurate. It's a great headset, and I love the base station. I have it set up so I can listen the game audio and laptop audio at the same time (I can edit videos in between deaths on COD). I have had some connection issues that are resolved by turning it on and off...but those have been pretty rare. On the other hand the range is incredible. I can walk all around the house and still hear the audio fine (not a huge house...but I was able to hear the audio from two floors up). Very comfortable as well. I would say comfort is on par with the A40s. If you have the money, grab these.

Sound and voice clarity are great. Very annoying that I have to unplug then replug the base to my Xbox frequently to get the sound to work after turning on the console.

I have had these astros for about 3 years or so now. They do have their pros and cons about them. I only bought them because my older green ones didnt work with my xbox series x. But my wife has had to plus them into her computer many, many times to update the software because they were unable to do on their own. And the current problem is that they don't charge much anymore and i have to use a separate cable to have them plugged into their base in order to use them. Love the sound quality though..

I upgraded to these from some Turtle Beach Stealth 800’s. Obviously, they are a lot more expensive, but these Astros have way better features including a better app, sound quality, and better comfort. I enjoyed my Turtle Beach headset, but these are simply better in every way.

I was a long time fan of the ASTRO A50 . I was really looking forward to trying these out. Honestly, the sound quality is still fantastic, the added battery life is welcome. Sadly , I had to return these because they were not made with the PS5 in mind. In order to get the beat out of the set, you have to purchase another component * traded these in for the arctic nova pro and I couldn’t be happier.

The headset is good but a hefty price. You can get a cheaper headset to do the same job. A big takeaway for me is that it is not Bluetooth. I should’ve did more research but I assumed all headsets over $100 would be Bluetooth. I previously had turtle beaches and steelseries artic pros. I would recommend: 1. Turtle beach 2. Astro 3. Steelseries Don’t get me wrong it’s a great headset but could be cheaper and with Bluetooth. Sound quality normal. Comfort level great.

Its a great product, great quality, and REALLY comfortable! My one main concern with this product is the headband piece keeps popping out of its socket and won't go back in, I've tried superglue and it keeps popping out! Also you have to pay $109.99 for the 2-year warranty. Also after you purchase the item you can not get the 2-year warranty from the app unless you go to your nearest best buy for them to check the condition. In my opinion should not matter. Especially since you bought the item in full for north to $300.

Had this headset for about 4 years now. And it still holds up very well to competitors. I will say the comfort is unmatched, while the the sound quality is good and not bad for competitive multiplayer games.

    Best Headset with Dock

This is my personal favorite gaming headset after having used numerous Razer and Corsair headsets. I primarily play on PC and the convenience of the dock cannot be beat. The sound quality is great and the connection stays strong. The headset allows you to mix your chat and game audio which is great when playing on PlayStation. That feature is less convenient on PC as the headset is essentially recognized as two audio devices (Game and Chat). I am hopeful that the cloth material used for the ear cups will be more durable than the Corsair Virtuoso's faux leather material which degraded over time.

The app is terrible for these things. Using the windows store took forever to get these updated. Both the base and header themselves require updating so keep that in mind. Sound quality is mid at best especially for such an expensive set, but still these sound better than most. Maybe something I can tweek in the app but still would’ve enjoyed something more usable right out of the box. Good if you’re looking for a decent wireless set but IMO wired in quality is always going to be better.
