Worth the Money
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The comfort on this thing is amazing! Then to top it off, the sound quality on it is amazing as well. Now for $300, it definitely feels like a $300 headset, just upgraded from the A20 and these are definitely the better pair. If you're an avid gamer, or even just someone who works on zoom sessions and what not these will definitely be the pair to buy for work or play.

Great Headphones
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little pricey but worth it, These headphones replace my old A50 Astros and are really nice, they are exactly what you expect from Astro. No more wires to plug in, just set them down on the base and they charge right back up. I have not put a clock on them to see how long a charge but they are more than sufficient for me.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BEST HEADPIECE I HAVE EVER HAD. I absolutely love it. The noise cancelation feature is fantastic, and they are so comfortable. You can hear perfectly the details of the game steps, rain, etc. You feel like you are inside of the game.

Astro A50 gaming headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third pair of Astro headsets. My first wireless and it doesn’t disappoint. The equalizer download from Astro allows you to enhance your in game audio giving you an advantage over other players. The headphones are more on the expensive side but well worth it. The headphone base has connections for live streaming. Just a great product all around.

A50...Not that Impressed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First impression, coming from a previous A50 gen 3 and A50 gen 1 ( still have), the A50 gen 4s are not really that impressive. They are the same feel and sound as the gen 3 and the gen 1, only difference is a better base station so you headset doesn’t stop charging. That the reason I went to TB Elite Pro 2’s previously. I even have the mod kit for the gen 3’s which did help inclose the sound and I tried to put them on the gen 4, they were soo close, like almost exact and Astro could have made them work wanted the extra money like $300 isn’t enough. now I have a completely useless mod kit that I have to re-buy for the gen 4 and spend more money. Comparing the Astro A50 gen 4 to the TB Elite Pro 2s, honestly I think the sound is crisper and cleaner on the Elite Pro 2s. Bass is a little less then the Astro’s but not too noticeable and the sound enclosure is better. Controls for volume and voice/game balance is better on the Astros along with the mute, flip up versus cord button. Also, if I want to change the sound mix on the A50’s, I have to hook them up to the computer to use the Astro Command Center where with the Elite Pro 2s I can do it straight from the Bluetooth connection with app on my phone. Which the Bluetooth is kinda nice if I want to take a call or listen to my own music while gaming. The cordless A50s versus the corded Elite Pro 2s is nice but I have to worry about charging but with a desktop setup, the one cord isn’t bad. Yes, the Elite Pro 2 is a little heavier and a little less comfortable but over its only slightly noticeable and not that big of a deal. Overall, I’ve been an Astro fan for a long time, since the gen 1s and not to big fan a Turtle Beach but after going to game after my Astro A50 gen 3s sat in the base station all night and the headphones were dead and then to the point that they wouldn’t charge at all, I decided to switch to the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2s and not have to worry about charging. With the new Astro A50 gen 4s coming out with a new base station, V2 sound tuning and Dolby Atmos, I was really excited to get back to Astro but after a 3 hour gaming session on Apex Legends, I was really disappointed. The ear cups are stiff, the sound a little muffled/unclear (and I switched between the three equalizer settings and yes I connected them to the computer and updated the software for both the headset and base station) the sound just wasn’t very immersive even with the Dolby Atmos that I previously paid for. For less money, cleaner sound, no worries on charging, Bluetooth connectivity, better sound isolation, easier equalizer adjustment and custom made presets...I hate to say it but the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2s are a better bang for your buck. I mean for $300, I expected more from the new A50s and that just tells me how good the Elite Pro 2s actually are. I’m going to give it a little more time but Astro may have lost a customer. Yes, there are many improvement that could be made to the TB Elite Pro 2s and even though some could have been made with the Astro gen 4s, I feel like they are the same regurgitation of the previous Astro A50 generations.

Mixed feelings
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset has crisp and high definition audio, very comfortable and easy to adjust. The synch function can give me lots of issues at times where you turn on your console and the headset won’t have any voice chat or game audio because it didn’t synch to the console. You have to reset them and try switching between PC mode and the Xbox to get it to connect. Also to get them on the charger can be very complicated as well, you have to stand them up on the base station and it can take minutes to get them to start charging. You should be able to plug them in, while in use.

Good quality headphones
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my opinion this is one of the most quality headset to get. It is pricey but it worth it. Sound quality is good, microphones is good. It clear and I don’t think its the best but its quite up there. I didnt rate 5 star because to use with PS5 or PS4 you need an Adapter.

Great headset, bad for PS5
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset works very well... on PS4 and PC. On PS5? No. You need an adapter for it that takes place of the hdmi port and basically takes away hdmi 2.1 as the adapter is hdmi 2.0. So if you just dropped $3,000 on a new OLED tv, don’t buy this headset. Now if you just have a PS4 or PC, then buy it! It’s so amazing! I reviewed the Xbox version and it’s the best headset I’ve ever used! I tried steel series, turtle beach, other astros like the A40’s, etc and this is the king of headsets. I’d recommend the mod kit as well if you have a wife and kids you want to tune out.

||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As you may or not know, Astro A50 Base Station function as its own sound card, so it can separate audio channels for PC. These audio channels are: Astro a50 (Game), Astro a50(voice) and Astro a50 (line in). Now the last one is mostly for streaming purposes; I use it to connect my phone and add some jams to my gaming session. Superb audio quality and customization. To the point: Astro A50 (Game) not working. Sometimes it does not appear as an option, so all audio (voice chat and game sound) goes to Astro A50 (Voice). It makes it all sound terrible and the manual balance between game and voice wont work. Sometimes Astro A50(Game) disappears and Astro A50 (line in) shows up. Causes error on my system indicating with a blue screen that a device did not close properly and then the headset stops working (no output, no input). Its been like this for a while now, I have tried a lot of tricks and methods one can find online, but nothing seems to fix this issue. I have been waiting for a firmware update but its not happening. It seems like Astro Gaming was left to die, at least for PC. Or maybe my headset is defective. Im sensing this started happening after the last firmware update, which was around the same time I upgraded my system, maybe its just a coincidence. I have been trying to manually downgrade the headset's firmware, but it seems like Astro took away support DL from their website. Now this is a high-end, very expensive gaming headset which I purchased with the intention of using it for at least 5 years before they start to break down, (I take really good care of my gadgets) Its only going to be a couple years by the end of this month (Jan 2022) and im probably out of warranty but if this is it for the top tier gaming headsets from Logitech, its a big fail as a company and I feel like Ive been ripped off. ||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is good but you can get better headphones for the price. Also after a year some of the screws have fallen out and gotten lost so it’s basically falling apart unless I buy new screws. The battery is good it last for long sessions.

Awesome headset with superior sound quality!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great wireless headset! I use it on the Xbox Series X. Once you download the firmware update, all you do is plug and play but has awesome customizable settings if you decide the standard setup isn't for you. Highly recommend to any gamer that wants to go wireless. Super convenient not being tied to your controller. Superior sound quality as well!

||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headphones exceeded my expectations! Super comfortable and audio is amazing. The only issue I had was getting my headset to connect to the PC since the Astro gaming app was not working but YouTube had some helpful videos and managed to get it going.

Great sound possibly defective
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is amazing! The only downfall is when I had a battery issue. Eventually even after being fully charged the headset would turn off and say it was entirely dead. I would reset the headset, update the software, and continued to have the issue. Other than that the headset itself was great. Maybe I got a defective headset.

Great Sounding Headset With Nex-Gen Gaming Caveat
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this headset for my PlayStation 4 Pro and eventually for my PlayStation 5. The sound quality is excellent and I have not had any issues with my microphone. Adjusting the audio levels between gaming and party chat is effortless. I wanted to give this 5 stars, but lowered it 1 star for two reasons: - Every so often, I'll hear a painful crackle come from the headphones. 99% of the time they sound great, but every so often, it's like nails on a chalkboard. - The headphones are not compatible with the PlayStation 5, unless you are willing to sacrifice sound quality and usability of the mixer. For full functionality, these headphones will require an optical to HDMI adapter.
