I had a hard time spending that much money on it at first but it is definitely worth it. You can put your tv anywhere and I have two of them now.

Learned to not make TV top heavy, made it difficult to tilt without it going full tilt down. Easy fix by lowering center of gravity. Has a self level screw, so if you are a bit off. The extension of this makes perfect to do whatever you need to do on back of tv. Like add speaker mount, wall cable fixtures and dealing with cables.
