Device started showing PVC and then started showing normal heart rhythm. Echocardiogram showed I was still having PVCs. Called support and the only answer I received was readings can’t be guaranteed on the model of I pad I was using. Don’t waste your money on this device. Not that accurate.

This tiny 6-lead EKG device could save your life.

It really does give EKGs that cardiologists can use like the 6-lead EKGs they take on conventional equipment with 6 wires and 6 sticky pads that pull off your body hair when they are removed. I'm not an MD, but it seems that the difference in data between 6 leads and 12 leads doesn't matter in too many situations. There's a recent (2019/2020) article in the journal "Circulation" which uses measurements from KardiaMobile 6L devices. Ask your doctor. What I see is a device that sits on my knee, talks to my iPhone, and 30 seconds later provides a useful EKG that I can immediately email anywhere--like to my doctor-- from an iPhone (what I use; it's supposed to work with Android phones too). If you want a paper printout with scales that match your doctor's machine, something that he or she can immediately read, email the 4 PDF pages from the KardiaMobile 6L to your home computer and print it on your printer. An add-on service that the manufacturer provides for around $10/month lets you send your EKG to either a technician, trained to look for simple problems, or for something like $50 per EKG you can send it to a licensed cardiologist for in-depth review. // If you have an intermittent problem, you can buy this device for around what it costs to rent (for one month!) an old-fashioned, wired heart monitor that you have to belt on, drag around all day, skip showers with, etc. If you have a problem which you can sense when it happens and take an EKG, or want to take an EKG every hour or two to have your doctor interpret, this could save your life or your brain for the cost of 2 or 3 restaurant meals.

It does NOT make connection with the electrodes even with suggested lotion. If it eventually DOES connect, it is unreadable due to interference and/or my heart episode is gone.

It sent us to the cardiologist 5 times needlessly. Even paying for their monthly subscription for "techs" and it was all still wrong. 2 cardiologists informed me that these devices are garbage. Total waste of money. Dont waste yours.

This can take both a 6 lead ECG and a 1 Lead ECG. 6 leads gives a picture of the heart from 6 different angles as opposed to one, which gives it more diagnostic value. This is certainly an upgrade from the KardiaMobile, and it's worth the extra 100 dollars. The KardiaMobile 6L is easy to use, user friendly, and accurate. I highly reccomend it to anyone who needs at home ECG or is diagnosed with any heart problem. The app is intuitive and easy to use. The device fits in the palm of your hand and is very sleek. I bought a carrying case for it which goes very well with it. There is an optional subscription service that gives you more detection options and other benefits. I am not a member but some people may find the cost worth it (9.99 per month or 99.99 for the year). In short, I love this device and would reccomend it to anyone it's indicated for.

You do have to relax and hold very still to get good readings. The PDF report that is generated by the app is excellent. There is a lot of filtering of the waveform to make it look good and that hides a small amount of detail but it is still very good for timing information. You may have to slightly moisten your skin to get good contact. You do not have to sign up for their pay service just to use it.

This 6-lead EKG would be the best way to detect heart conditions in the future. A good option for people with heart issues and curious about aging. It provides a simple explanation of any relevant heart conditions. It's giving me some peace of mind... I bought it for $129 at Best Buy in December 2021. A reliable and accurate personal EKG monitor, very simple to use and to keep records of every EKG through the app.
