Nice air fryer but missing 2 safety features

The only two issues is it does not automatically turn off when you pull the tray. It also does not have a life away basket so you will burn yourself trying to get your food out. Better use tongs for that.

STILL has odor residue

Although the machine operates properly, it still smells when we use it. Last evening I threw out french fries that had such a strong chemical smell we could not eat them. We have washed everything that can be washed, tried everything we can think of, but STILL the metallic and hot plastic odor is prominent enough to permeate the food being prepared. I wish I had returned it while it was within the return period.
