The pen is responsive and accurate, and the build quality is top-notch. The biggest drawback, depending on who you are, is the fact that it has a replaceable battery instead of being a chargeable pen; however, I actually prefer a device that I don't need to keep another cord around for, so I'm totally OK with that.

Pen cap "eraser" is very nice and has the familiar click of a pen. The only problem is that the nib wears out very quickly and there are no replacements that come with it, you have to buy them. It does securly latch onto my surface, so that is very handy. Overall, WELL worth it and is a staple item if you are to purchase a surface product. It also makes a great gift!

We're glad you're enjoying your Surface Pen so far! We'd just like to chime in and clarify that Surface Pen does need batteries as a source for power. It's true it easily magnetically attaches to your Surface device, however this is not a method for charging. Had some challenges writing on the screen, so I invested in a matte screen protector…a must have. Works better than I expected, doing away with my old notebooks.
