Breaks as soon as warranty expires

No one will even fix it if I pay for it.

I love the ice machine!

Do Not Spend Your Money

Product is a piece of junk that only lasted 1 month past warranty. And that is when I didn't have issues with the product during that time. I would not recommend this item to anyone.

If the Opal isn’t making ice, you may want to make sure the ice bin is pushed completely into place and/or try resetting the unit by unplugging it for 3 to 4 hours. Additional troubleshooting information, for no ice production and other issues, is available in an article on our GE Appliances website. If you’d like to view that, you can do so by searching our website for the phrase ‘Opal Ice Maker – Troubleshooting’ and clicking the ‘Support’ tab; the article will be linked. NOT QUITE READY FOR RELEASE...

Stops making Ice

Did not make 90 days of working. I cleaned and sanitized as instructed in booklet provided. DON'T BUY this product.

Lasted 1 year garbage

Will not uprake any water for a clean cycle or to make ice. Customer service wasnt not helpful tried troubleshooting with every oktion on interent. Trash for the price.

Stopped working after 6 months

Also note the tray that holds the ice isn't insulated, so it is continually making ice as the ice in the tray is melting.

Don’t Waste your money

It’ll make handful of ice then quit. $600 for a ice machine to work 6 months is ridiculous and outrageous!

Great Ice - Horrible machine

They all make so much noise and require hours of cleaning weekly for “descaling” even though I have soft water…makes no sense. Also, the ice bin has alittle air gap between the ice and outside air (good idea) but after the first day its held a tiny bit of condensation. Not air tight, and for a $650 appliance it looks terrible. Do better GE…qc your products. This could be such a great buy….just not for $650

Leaked

Instead, after following the BOOK of instructions to the T and also calling support, the machine said to add water- when it was full- then it leaked all over the floor and counter. I really expected better and wanted to love this machine

But my send one after 30 days that u didn’t use everyday the filter needed a replacement and it’s complicated. The ice has a bad taste because of that.

Piece of garbage
