Best investment ever!!! Just in time for AZ summer…Grandkids love making their version of shaved ice…everyone loooves munching on these soft cooling treats! Biggest hit this summer!

I loved this ice maker however, shortly after purchasing it started making a loud grinding noise. I returned my first one and got another machine. Shortly after that one started making the same noise. Multiple calls to GE and they always told me I just needed to clean it. I always clean my machine and yet this noise persisted. I asked for GE to send me a new machine but they told me to “try” their recommendations first. I told them I was worried about the warranty expiring but they assured me that since I had placed calls BEFORE my warranty that I would be covered. My last call made to them the representative told me I needed to do a deep clean and “prime” my pump and thus would fix my problem. I was so excited as no one ever told me to prime my pump. I followed her instructions and now my ice maker does not make ice! I called GE this morning and told the representative I would like a new ice maker and she told me “Sorry, it’s out of warranty”. When I asked her to review my notes and the confirmation that my warranty would still be valid since I had placed multiple calls she told me that she has no notes on my account. So, now I’m stuck with a machine that doesn’t work and all my patience and trust that GE was going to stand behind this machine was all talk. They pacify you until it’s out of warranty. So disappointed! GE STAND BY YOUR PRODUCTS…

Produces tons of ice! This is probably the best ice machine I have seen/ and used.

It worked great until it didn't. After about a year it started making LOUD knocking sounds that made me think it was about explode. I make sure to clean it every week, but I can't determine what is creating the knocking sound. For as expensive of an appliance it is, it should work properly for more than a year. Each time it makes the knocking sound I have to unplug the entire machine, reclean and it "may" work for a day or so.

Excelente! No ice machine Can compare to this! You just need to make sure to do weekly maintenance to keep it running to ensure the best tasting ice.

Awesome ice maker, Fast, Quiet (other than a squeeking noise as it cuts off ice or something) but we have absolutely loved it. We have to fill the Side Tank about every 2 days or so but we are a family of 5 and use a lot of ice per day.

Easy setup and makes perfect NUGGET ICE!!! We have purchased similar units from Amazon and they didn't last a year.

You will enjoy this amazing Sonic / soft ice machine.....My machine is as quiet as my fridge.....Our machine is at work and we have 4 employees filing cups multiple times a day and we are never without ice.....Definately the little engine that could......Worth the investment

Great ice maker happy that i bought this i would recommend anyone that like nugget ice to buy , and this paticler model does not need a water hook up it has a storage tank

To say i am not happy is an understatement. A $600 appliance that only makes ice for 1 person (1 to 2 glasses a day) does not last more than 2 years is beyond frustrating. I should have done more research, as everyone is stating they the unit stops working after 2 years. I love the ice, the reliability is a different story. Definately would not purchase again.

This I’ve maker is completely awesome!! I’ve had it about a month now and I don’t have a single complaint. It’s not loud like some complained about and it definitely makes a good amount of ice. Definitely worth the buy. My kids love and and so do I,

This is a very excellent ice machine. It makes ice like at restaurants. I use my ice machine everyday. I actually had bought two of them several months apart to give one of them to my niece. I gave her the stainless silver one and I got the black stainless steel.

Very easy to clean ice machine that produces reliable and satisfying ice. I was hoping the app allows for selecting between nugget ice and regular ice but as the title implies, only produces nugget ice.

We’ve had this for 2 years and still love this machine. Works well, we are able to connect it to our phone and set up an on and off schedule that fits our life for when we need ice or not. The side tank is a game changer though, I would highly recommend buying the one with the side tank. It does need a good cleaning and regular cleaning. But even that is pretty easy.

Bought for my wife and has since told it is one of here best gifts shes ever gotten. Its perfect ice for any kind of drink or just a snack.

Love the ice. Wish it would keep the ice cold! The ice melts then it feels like the machine constantly has to make more ice.

The GE Profile - Opal 2.0 Portable Ice Maker turned out to be a huge fail for reliability. Product made ice efficiently and consistently. However, cleaning the ice maker per the instructions and on a regular schedule every two weeks made no difference! The GE Profile - Opal 2.0 Portable Ice Maker died and would no longer make ice a few days after the 1 year warranty expired! GE Profile has been hailed as a more reliable product line and worth the money. After the experience with the GE Profile Opal 2.0 Ice Maker at $500 and a GE Profile refrigerator at over $4,300 where the ice maker failed just over a year after purchase I would have to disagree. These products are no longer reliable, and I would not recommend GE Profile products to anyone!
