Best performance-per-dollar/watt over Intel+AMD

The new Ryzen 5900HS might be a solid contender, but in terms of performance per dollar, the M1 is going to hold the crown for 2021 until Apple releases their next gen MX laptop. If you can find this on an open-box deal, just buy it.

Here’s why. I video hockey games, edit them in Camtasia and export to MP4 for posting to Vimeo. The intel version took 55 minutes, faster than my 2013 MacBook Pro. The M1 version took let than six minutes. Any questions?

The size is good for being compact to use anywhere. I also have an iPad, but I find myself picking up the laptop to do something more often. Very happy with my purchase!
