Amazing Upgrade, Needs more Next Gen Games
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For sure the upgrade I needed. Load times on last gen games are instant, and runs most games better. I would recommend a newer tv so you can get the most out of the machine. If you don't have a 4k tv you wont see much of a graphical improvement. The controller is very similar to the xbox one controller, the share button is nice, and the grip is better on the back and triggers, but the best improvement so far is the d-pad. The best part of this new console compared to its competitor is the backwards compatibility with xbox, xbox 360, and xbox one games. As a bonus if you pay to unlock developer mode on the xbox (check youtube) you can even play emulated games as well including playstation 2, gamecube, etc. Overall an upgrade much needed. Only con is that it needs more next gen games, but thats what happens with most new consoles, needs a year or two to really see the true power. Only con at the moment is purchasing one, it took me a month, but bestbuy hooked me up.

Worthy Heir to the Xbox Franchise!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I can say. I was lucky enough to get one during one of Bestbuy's refreshes. First off, big thanks to Bestbuy for even allowing folks to get one. I appreciate them not allowing bots to just scope up all the inventory unlike Walmart and Target. As for the console, it reminds me of a subwoofer. It definitely does not look like the previous Xbox One X and it definitely runs faster. I love the 1TB SSD. Load times and performance are very noticeably faster. I brought this version so I could have the 4K Blu-ray player. In terms of gameplay, it seems to run cooler and does not make as much noise. The UI seems more refined. The cool thing is that a lot of Xbox One games get an enhanced feel and you can tell. All in all, despite the price, it is an upgrade. Hopefully, we will start seeing some real 8K content. I actually upgraded my smart TV just for this console alone. With 4K smart TVs going down in price, you will need one to really appreciate this console.

Another Great Console from Microsoft
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love the Xbox Series X. I've owned every Xbox console since Microsoft got into the video game business with the original Xbox console and this one is almost perfect. While a simple design, the console looks very clean and a nice addition to my collection of electronics used in the living room. The load time is incredibly fast and a much-appreciated upgrade from the previous consoles from earlier generations. The new controller is a slight upgrade from the controller on the Xbox One and very comfortable to play with. My two favorite things about the new Xbox Series X are the availability and performance of GamePass on it and the backward compatibility of games from previous systems. You can play on it almost every native Xbox One game, currently 568 Xbox 360 games, and 39 original Xbox games. I'm definitely glad I bought this system so early in the new generation period and highly recommend it to anyone who loves to play video games.

Mid-grade PC equal
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value at MSRP. Compared to my RTX 2080 gaming PC, the performance lands it somewhere above an RTX 2060 and below an RTX 2080. Games like Halo Infinite employ strong Dynamic Resolution that employs resolutions noticeably lower than my PC at times. Some textures are low quality in comparison too, and pop in slowly at the start of matches in Halo. Odd considering the SSD speed, and that my PC does it better with its slow hard drive. And as for CPU performance, as in FPS for 120hz compatible titles, it has worse performance than an I5-9600k with frame drops and stutters. This is comparing titles such as MW 2019 (in its current broken state) and Halo Infinite. I am hoping that game performance will improve with time, and that this is not a limitation of this console itself but instead the game software not being optimized correctly.

GREAT GAME CONSLE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well I would have never thought that I would be owning an Xbox Series X in my lifetime. (I’m 65 yrs old but feel like an 18 yr old playing these games ) And i’m glad that this being my first Xbox that I made a very wise decision. I haven’t played any video games since Mario Bros came out for nintendo 64. Quite a few years ago for sure. The graphics and action that this Xbox puts out is unbelievable. Fast rendering and smooth scrolling is beyond anything i’ve ever seen or played on. Also one thing that I enjoy is the fact that with game pass in the Xbox Live that I can play games at a minimum monthly fee. My all time favorite right now is F1 2020. I love all types of racing but this one knocks it out if the park. Finally i’d just like to say is that if you can get your hands on one of these bad boys. Be prepared for a lot of lack of sleep, You’ll be glued to that screen all night. I know that I have been.

Amazing machine even better with Game Pass!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is a beast!! I am not here to do the "Xbox vs. PS5" debate. I actually own both and think they are amazing machines! The thing I thinks makes the Xbox Series X a must have for me is the powerful hardware and the must have Xbox Game pass. With these two in combo you have every game you could want for an excellent price! I can place triple A games on Day 1 on my Xbox Series X without having to pay $69.99 like I do on my PS5 and the quality is out of this world! The only difference I see in the machines is the PS5 controller (outstanding) and exclusives. But if you want a lot of games in your library without breaking the bank the Xbox Series X with Game Pass is the way to go! Sony hasn't got anything in place to complete worth wild. Maybe in time but for now you get more with Xbox. PS5 has some killer games but you will have to pay for them and they do kick butt. So you choose, or if you can get both! Game on!

An Absolute Beast of a Machine!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not expecting a huge improvement from this system since they weren't going to update the OS.... but what an incredible machine! Super easy to get up and running and lightening fast. I can load games in a quarter of the time my One X did and you can have multiple games running without interruption. I was playing Valhalla and my kids wanted to play a trivia game, after that we watched a movie on it. I went back to Valhalla the next day and picked up exactly where I paused it, no loading needed. The graphics are on another level compared to my One and One X. A quick calibration tutorial on the Series X and I was blown away. Valhalla looks absolutely gorgeous! Then I tried Ori and was completely amazed at the colors and detail. I am bit of a video connoisseur and audiophile and I can tell a huge difference with even watching movies and shows on this machine. I haven't been able to get a hold of a PS5 yet so I can't tell you the difference in that scenario.

Xbox amazing but not the one
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Powerful Hardware: The Xbox Series X is a beast when it comes to hardware. The graphics are stunning, and the load times are incredibly fast. Games run smoothly, and I've never experienced any lag. Game Pass Ultimate: This service is a game-changer! With Game Pass Ultimate, I have access to a massive library of games, including many new releases. It's a fantastic value for money, and I can't imagine gaming without it. Backward Compatibility: I love that I can play my older Xbox One games on the Series X without any issues. It's a seamless transition, and I appreciate not having to rebuild my game library from scratch. Controller Design: The Xbox Series X controller feels great in my hands. The textured grips and improved D-pad make gaming more comfortable and precise. Cons: User Interface: While it's functional, the Xbox dashboard could use some improvement. It can be a bit cluttered and confusing to navigate at times. I hope future updates will address this. Game Library: Although Game Pass is fantastic, the exclusive game lineup could be stronger. While it has improved over time, I'd love to see more must-play titles that are exclusive to Xbox. Controller Battery Life: The controller's battery life is decent, but it could be better. I find myself changing batteries or recharging it more often than I'd like.

Still love me a cd version
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than it being bigger and bulckier than the original xbox one. Its still cool and works just as great as the xbox one x. Honestly couldnt find many differences that make a big deal to me other than being smoother plus the quick resume for games was pretty cool. Feels more like someone upgraded from an iphone 13 to an iphone 14. Xbox one x to an xbox series x. I think this days are harder for us to be impressed by new tech but any improvements and better at everthing else as its previous gen im happy with. Ithink this would be fine for as long as it last idont know how we can top this other than improvments again and slimer body but i dont think ill be upgrading again considering i was fine with the one x

FINALLY!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were finally able to get our hands on one of these consoles after more than a year and a half of long waits outside of stores/online (only for it to sell out before it came our turn) and checking online obsessively to find one in stock at retail price (as we refuse to pay double to scalpers). At first we didn't quite trust that the transaction would actually go through or that we could pick it up in store so easily (considering our past drama). However, we were easily able to add it to cart, pay and pick up in store - and all on the same day! My son was absolutely ecstatic and LOVES this new console. It's much faster than his previous Xbox and the images much more true to life. He says it was worth every penny. (Yes, he paid for it himself).
