XBOX SERIES X
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, what do you expect? It's next-gen. The console itself to begin with looks like some type of alien object that's casually placed in your living room. The controller is fantastic, much bigger so it can grip in my hands properly now. I always liked the PS4 controller but now holding this I can see how much less of a controller it is compared to the PS5's. Lastly, you honestly won't get the full next-gen experience until HDMI 2.1 4k monitors come out that runs over 120hz. So if money is a little tight I would wait till it dies down. Not worth paying over retail for this console. So if you were thinking of buying it from those scalpers don't.

Powerful console with no games atm
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As it stands, this console is certainly powerful and a great leap forward for Xbox. However, with its current library of console exclusive games, there is not point in owning an Xbox Series X. It will likely be some time until Xbox gets a compelling list of games that will justify owning a Series X. If you are buying a games console for the first time, I urge you to consider buying a ps5 for its superior library of exclusive games. On a technical level, the series X has a noticeable edge over the ps5. So if pure performance is what you’re looking for…. get a pc (kidding). The Series X is the most powerful console on the market. However if the price is too steep, I also suggest the Series S. I am extremely excited for the next few years on Xbox to see the new games that will take advantage of such great hardware.

A Promising Future
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been an Xbox gamer since the original Xbox back in 2001. I also play on PlayStation as well. I love games. And if you're looking to enjoy yourself with gaming that has a large catalog of older games that the system can play then I recommend the Xbox Series X and the Game Pass option. When it comes to exclusive titles, I am very anxious for the Xbox exclusive Starfield next year. And then there is the new Fable title coming soon along with some other Xbox-only games in the near future. My point is that there are games coming and don't let anyone say otherwise. Now, I know that you can play Game Pass games on the other Xbox systems but what the Series X offers are speed and large storage. I was amazed at how fast games like Gears of War 4 or the Forza Horizon games loaded up. I honestly like the design of the Series X, it's streamlined and allows you to stand it upright or on its side depending on your gaming space. The controller is still the familiar design that we know from the 2013 Xbox One system but there's a share button added allowing you to quickly create game clips or save a game photo. If you are looking to purchase this system for a friend or a family member then I highly recommend that you know what kind of gamer that person is. Are they a current Xbox fan? Do they like playing the older games that they played on previous systems? I won't get into the weeds about third-party and first-party games since to the uninitiated, it can be confusing. Is this your or their first system? Xbox Series X can play all third-party games such as Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Fortnite, etc. The Series X also allows you to access your streaming service apps such as Apple Tv, HBO Max, Netflix, and Disney Plus, to name a few. No matter what you're watching or playing on this system, it's going to look REALLY good. Even older games are enhanced through the Series X system. Depending on your TV, the frame rate for some games is fast. As I mentioned before, if you're worried about Xbox not having exclusives, they are coming and they will make you feel proud about owning the Series X.

Next Gen Xbox
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Series X is a great piece of hardware. The system UI is much improved with faster loading and navigating thanks to the nvme ssd. The system runs very quite and heat levels or unnoticeable. Don’t be duked by videos online. Your system vents should be dispersing heat away from your system and if the vent feels like AC after playing for a long time thats a bad thing. Yes, the system is big but not as massive as the PS5. Finger prints do easily show but once you get your system in plays just wipe those off. Its not like you need to grab and move alot so thats not a big deal. The system and games load faster which makes more of a difference than you’d think. The Series X controller is also improved with a share button and textured grips. It also feela better in my hands but YMMV. The 1st party games from Microsoft are a ways off but my review is strictly about the system.

Great Console & Business Model
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great console with a great business model. Truly a next gen system that allows the owners to access hundreds of games for a cheap subscription via GamePass as well as purchase thousands of cheap, on-sale titles through their store. One of the best purchases I've made!

I’m a fan
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can dig it. Many games look and (and often play) better vs PS5, simply because Dolby vision for gaming does make a difference in my opinion. Love the PS5 too, which seems to reach better framerates generally. If XSX had the same quality exclusives as PS5 it would be an even easier purchase, as gamepass ultimate is as good as it’s hyped to be imo. Both consoles have their pros n cons, but XSX seems a bit more consumer minded. Dumbest ‘feature’ of the XSX is DL speeds get throttled if you have ANY other game/app running… even the Xbox store. Real dumb.

Great First Day!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was finally able to pick this up through Best Buy yesterday and it is a wonderful machine! I was originally worried about the design being a bit dull but it actually looks very neat and sophisticated in person. I especially love the vents at the top of the machine. As for performance, the system is as snappy as you would expect. I have been testing FIFA 21 and Forza Horizon 4 and both games have performed perfectly with minimum load times. Not to mention the graphics look fantastic on my Samsung 4K TV. I also love the user interface and have spent some time customizing it to make it look simpler. The controller is superb to hold and has a great, comfortable feel to it. I do wish it was a little more ambitious than the Xbox One controller which it resembles but it gets the job done nicely. All in all I am loving this console and look forward to playing some great games on it!

Next Gen, New Life
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a ln Xbox One 8 years ago, and it sat in my parents' closet for 5 out of those 8 years. After changing my lifestyle and getting ungrounded, I bought this bad boy and let me tell you- it's almost never off. I love playing with my friends, talking and streaming on Discord, and being able to properly see my opponents in games with the enhanced graphics and frame rate. The impact that this console has had on my life so far is almost indescribable.

Fine product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup process (~30 min) is kinda tedious and boring to be honest. I am a avid gamer but I don’t own a Xbox until now. I think the process of updating a controller’s software is funny... what’s the point? And the controllers do not have any new features with a next-gen console and it only runs on dry batteries... so on average you have to replace the batteries every week. To be honest, the console itself is good so far but I haven’t played any next-gen games on it just yet. The last-gen games from the Xbox Ultimate Game Pass run very smoothly. There are a lot of games come with the pass but they are all relatively old... The console is pretty quiet but the top vent can get hot after hours of playing (and that’s the purpose). Overall I give it 5 stars just because the solid quality of the product but I do hope I can play some exclusive games on the console in the future.

Surprised and impressed.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a long time PC gamer. I was hesitant to buy a console. I've enjoyed playing on friends consoles, but never liked them close to as much my PC. At 350 for this around the holidays, and the price of an upgrade video card alone around 1k, I decided to try it. It did not disappoint. The load times are good. The graphics are good. Controler is great, although it would be nice if it were rechargeable. Overall for the money and game availability, 9 out of 10.
