Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When the sound bar is working properly the TV sounds much better than with the built in speakers alone, but that was to be expected. The sound is crisp and clear but I wouldn't use this in a living room setting, I don't think it has the chops to really make a movie pop. However, if you plan on using this in a single room to augment the TV speakers then I suppose it works pretty well except that I keep having issues with the ARC function. The soundbar will randomly disconnect and I keep having to power on and off the soundbar to reestablish a connection, It's only happened using Netflix so far but I'm going to try it on other streaming services and see if I have the same issues. My biggest gripe is that it won't auto connect when I power on the TV as most ARC devices tend to do, my TV does have eARC but this doesn't seem to help with the connection issue. I'd return it if I wasn't one day shy of the return window but I suppose there is always the optical connection if the ARC issue doesn't go away. My suggestion, don't cheap out and get insignia go ahead and spend the extra 20-50 and get a better brand instead.

My first soundbar and I had higher expectations than what I received. I agree with other reviews that Theater mode allows the best sound experience. Will be upgrading in the future and pass this one on to kids.
