Bad connection

It keeps disconnecting from the wifi & so the assistant wont answer since it can’t connect. I did get it on sale but do yourself a favor & get an echo or something if you’re looking for a nice smart device on a budget.

Make sure to link the Smart Clock Essential with the same WiFi connection as the mobile device you used to setup the Smart Clock Essential. Please check whether WiFi works correctly by using another device to link with the same WiFi. Please try to reboot the Device. Unplug your Smart Clock for 1 minute. If the issue continues, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support for Smart Devices at: 866-426-0911.

Spontaneously loses network connection

I bought the Smart Clock with Google Assistant for my wife, and it's been great. I got this one, the Smart Clock Essential, for myself, and ... not so great. It has fewer options and capabilities than the earlier model. I wouldn't mind that, as I don't use the alarm options much anyway and the old model is no longer available. But this one also loses its connection to my network at least every couple of days. It's not my network's fault -- Google Wi-Fi is great. I'm just getting tired of expecting this clock to be part of my Google Home and being told it's stepped out for a while.

Posted .We are sorry to hear you are experiencing WIFI connectivity issues with your Lenovo Smart Clock Essential. We recommend switching between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands of your router. In some instances overlap from other wireless devices can cause this issue. To do this please ensure your device is within good range of your router. Then please perform a factory reset on the device by holding down the “Volume + and – ” buttons on top of your device for 8 Seconds. During setup please select a different band *Either 2.4 Ghz or 5 Ghz when connecting to your WiFi Network. Lastly please reset your model and router by powering them down for 20 seconds then back on again. If the issue persists, please contact our customer support team at 866-426-0911
