Bad conversationalist and pretty sure jeff bezos is spying on me constantly. He acts like he has sooooooooooo many more important things to do but I don't think he really does.

I just don't feel like the 4th generation is enough of a change/improvement to justify buying a new one. If you're looking to purchase your first Echo dot, then definitely get this one. This is a feature rich product that works as advertised. You certainly won't be disappointed.

For whatever reason they are not compatible. I had the Geek Squad come over to hook it up but they were unsuccessful. It could not turn the TV on or off. It also could not go to different channels or apps. Big disappointment.

If you are wanting to control your TV and smart home devices, you may want to consider the Fire TV Cube instead of the Echo 4th Gen. Most Samsung TVs are compatible with Alexa, but some have it already built in. Without knowing the TV model number, we are unsure, but we would love to help you further. Didn’t realize how much I use the other features (scheduling, music, podcasts, weather and traffic reporting)!!!! We love this thing and do not ever want to think about my life without it.
