Nice and simple PlayStation console, great for everybody and all ages.

An absolute beast of a console. It offers native 4K resolution with consistently 60 FPS with Ray Tracing and beautiful colours, the download speeds are faster, the loading is faster for all games (with some like Astro being literally instantaneous). I definitely bought it for 3D audio and was blown away by it. The controller is also splendid and feels next gen (the touchpad, the triggers, the way it fits in your hand, the microphone even the fact that it’s USB-C).

Its a PS5, you already know. The SSD is impressive. The controller feedback is next level. Graphics are beautiful. Multitasking works well.

The PS5 is next level for gaming consoles. There are vast improvements from last gen consoles with features such as ray tracing, excellent frame rate performance, a quite cooling fan, backward compatability, sleek design and many other awesome features. The dual sense is the stand and what give this system the edge over the competition. The controls gave me a gaming experience that I didn't know I was in need of. The technology that was used to pull this off is a mystery to me, but it is definitely the formula for success.

Product is amazing and the handling of it by the store was perfect. The setup of the console was very easy and it comes with a function to move all data from the previous system to the current one. The UI takes a little bit to get used to because it’s very different from the older console but I feel like the hot bar (which allows you to do things like quickly change games, play music, or check your notifications etc) is way less invasive than the PS4. The graphics make it seem like I bought a brand new tv and the speeds are fantastic.

Was one of those lucky few who managed to get a Day One console and I love it. The thing sits right in view in my living room and is frequently used. Still wonderfully silent even this far down the road (no signs of that jet engine fan whatsoever). Games look incredible, and they keep making great upgrades to last generation ones as well. The controller is on a whole different level. It's hard to compare and going back to a DS4 feels so empty now. This console was everything I wanted and more. Happy.to be on board from the beginning.

Still shocked I was able to pick one up on launch day after that bungled pre-order shamble back in September and all the scalpers who are ruining the holidays for a lot of parents and kids alike. Anyway, the set-up was pretty messy, there are lots of little tips they don't explain to you, especially when setting up a data transfer from your old Ps4. They recommend using a LAN cable but this causes issues with the transfer, use Wi-fi. Then for some reason, getting the console to not crash every day is a miracle, it happens at least once daily and seems to be tied to using an external HDD. My advice, unless you are actively playing PS4 games off of one, leave it unplugged until you need it; it just causes problems so leave it out until Sony patches this issue. Transferring games from HDD to the SSD, or vice-versa takes forever for some reason, have no idea why. Now, on to the good stuff, the games! They look amazing on next-gen, and the loading times are pretty quick for native ps5 titles. Even in backwards compatibility with ps4 titles that haven't been patched, the load times are noticeably quicker and if the game featured an unlocked frame-rate or dynamic resolution, the ps5 will max these bounds out to deliver a much better experience. Spider-man Miles Morales is probably the best tech demo out there for the system, as it allows you to have native 4k with ray-traced reflections (for a console, this is pretty impressive to see in action) or choose a performance mode that runs at near 4k with slightly cut down fidelity (you won't notice in action) and 60fps. The 2018 spiderman also gets a remaster that gives it many of the same features and is super fun to play in next gen. A lot of games are taking this route of offering a choice between high frame rate or high fidelity with 4k and it is refreshing to see devs give their customers the choice between the two. All-in all, having owned every iteration of the playstation since the OG, this was the most impressive launch line-up and experience I can remember having. Aside from the technical issues (of which there are plenty) I still find myself extremely impressed on what Sony delivered for $500. The value in that price-tag is pretty undeniable and it is an amazing experience!

It’s very rare that something is as good as advertised but the PS5 even surpasses in several areas . The PS5 is everything you love about PlayStation combined with the newest and most powerful innovations in video games . There is a clear difference in speed and graphics - you won’t be disappointed . The kids in my house love it . So happy that Best Buy had a two step system that included sending a text - so I could finally buy one .

Great graphics, great speed, and an extremely great controller with satisfying triggers. Honestly it’s one of the beat consoles I’ve ever owned.

Next gen console and you can tell. Digital edition is super quiet and powerful. Not many games out for it, but Spider Man looks and plays amazing.

As expected and more. Super fast compared to the PS4. Have been using it regularly for a little over a year now and it's holding up.

I was on a mission to obtain this system and it seemed that it would have taken forever. I am thankful to get one and grateful that nothing drastic has happened while playing with it. When the system is at its best the only things I find negative is the loudness when you first put in a disc to download or to play. The other negative is just the lack of storage. Lastly, something minor is the glitches and errors within the system. Now for The positives, the system loads games a lot faster. The system can play almost every PS4 game and it can use an external hard drive to store PS4 games in. I like how Sony try organize things for you with their menu system. Finding things here is a bit easier at launch than the PS4. Lastly, I like how easy it is to see how much you have played on each game. I know it’s hard but I would definitely recommend buying one when you get a chance. Upgrading games to next gen is super easy and you enjoy all the games you haven’t finished on the PS4 at a higher frame rate. Also, if you want to play best next gen games then this is the system for you!

I picked up my PS5 that preorder on launch day end of November and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. First the employee brought my console to my car quickly and was very friendly even during this stressful time. Now on to my console, it’s an amazing piece of hardware. The graphics look great especially Demon’s Souls and Spider-Man Miles Morales. Setting up the console was also fairly easy so was transferring my data from my PS4. I’m 100 percent satisfied with my purchase and hope that everyone else is able to get their hands on one.

Incredible advance in console gaming. I have a PC with a GeForce RTX 2060 Super card and the PS5 provides a much smoother and rich experience. The haptic feedback on the DualSense controller is also such a game changer. Upgrading from the PS4 Slim, this provided a noticeable difference in the quality of all my games, especially Ghost of Tsushima. The increased frame rate and graphic detail has made one of the most beautiful games even more stunning. Excited for future releases that can take even greater advantage of this hardware.

I got this PS5 courtesy of BestBuy Total Tech at a time they're hard to come by. Best investment, ever! It was shipped to the local store a few days later and pickup was amazingly easy. My nephew was pleasantly surprised and it was ready to go right out of the box. I didn't get any games, but he loved Astro's Playroom. Highly recommend it for any kid of any age. I would recommend getting a 2nd controller and a dual charger if you manage to get one for yourself or a loved one.
