This new Series S exceeded my expectations about its performance, etc. I'm coming from a One S and it's night and day difference. I love that it looks good, it loads games almost instantaneously with "Quick Resume" and the experience from better graphics, load times and smoothness is worth more than the $299 price. I'm quite pleased with my purchase. I do feel to constraint with its measly storage but I get around that.

Everyone says that this is not a good buy but I disagree. I love my series S. With series X so hard to come but I could myself getting this and boy was I surprised by how well this thing is. Not as powerful as the X but it packs a punch. Great for anyone who has game pass and likes to buy digital games the one knock on it is the storage I think Xbox could have done a better job in that department.

We were way overdue to upgrade from a Xbox 360, so we went with series S (since we don’t have 4k TV’s to take advantage of the X) I was concerned about going disc-less but we got the gamepass and have heard no complaints. You will probably need an ssd expansion drive tho, 500gb goes quick. Easy setup in minutes!

It work's excellent. It's smooth running. Doesn't take up much space. I bought for my boyfriend as a surprise. I ended up getting one a few months later myself. I love XBOX products. Always have and always will. My little one wants to play my games. We have a little gaming family.

Great console for kids or anyone on a budget. Fast load times and game pass make the series S a winner. Yes the storage isn't much, but you can add an external hard drive and cold store the games.

This is more than a starter console, it does the job, for the price is flawless, bought a couple, no issues after 2 years!!

Can’t go wrong with any XBox!! Love that it’s portable if you wanna take it with you when you travel-for smaller kids it could help keep them busy during downtime!

I bought the Series S while on a work trip because the hotel I got put up in actually has decent Internet. It performs very well, and although the storage space is a little lacking, I was only planning on downloading a few games while I was traveling anyway. 5 stars for being the Series X's little brother.

Perfect size to even throw in a back pack so you can travel with it. I never buy physical discs so this option was great . Never had any issues in a year and the purchase experience was very smooth. The only con is that 500gb is not enough space to have multiple modern games on it.

Awesome. Fastest console I've ever played on. Small in size, fits great on my desk. Wish there was more internal space, but you may have to bit the bullet and by an external hard drive.

One of the best systems out now. Cheap, stylish, and doesn't take up much space on the TV stand. The HDD add on is gimmicky, so I knocked it down a star for that.

I upgraded to this from the original Xbox One, and I totally love it. The graphics, especially the frame rates, are a massive improvement over the previous generation. But for me, the killer features are the blazing fast load times and quick resume. You spend a lot more time enjoying your games and less time staring at loading screens. Highly recommend upgrading if you can find one!

Was one of the lucky ones I guess on preorder launch day that was able to wait it out and refresh 100,000 times. I’m loving it so far. Load times and graphics are just obviously better than my Xbox one. Didn’t need a disc drive and I’m not gaming in 4K 120fps so the series s was in my wheelhouse. No regrets and tbh, the thing was a lot smaller than I was expecting. Packaging was great and the new controller feels great.

What can I say. I was very skeptical about this. I had an XB1X and was thinking the series s was going to be a step down. I was flat wrong. This thing is a huge upgrade. Fast, and sleek. I have it mounted behind my wall mounted 42inch 4k tv. Can’t even tell it is there. The one draw back is the storage. I did get the sea gate expandable memory card and it is better than good

This thing is cool, we like it. It is smaller than our Xbox one s the download speeds are better, the load times are better, and the graphics are probably better too, but we got it on a small little Phillips Roku TV that isn't a 4K TV so it is hard to tell. I do wish the SSD was at least 1tb and not 512gb

I had doubt on getting the Series S but in the current age, it felt nice to be able to buy it online and walk in the store to pick it up (or go curbside). The console is great for people that cannot get the Series X or just want something inexpensive. It is a fun console and I am glad to play on the thing.

Awesome little console with no load time and amazing graphics. Really impressed especially for the price. There’s very little storage but I knew that already and got tired of waiting for the X to be available. Could always add storage or upgrade to the X later. I recommend purchasing a chargeable battery for the controller as the AAs don’t last too long and you’ll spend more money changing them out
