I bought the Samsung 980 Pro as a secondary drive for my game library. This drive easily keeps up with my gigabit internet connection when installing/updating games, reaching speeds closer to advertised than I initially expected! In game loading times are extremely quick too. Playing the same game on a PS4 Pro with the OEM hard drive, this NVMe drive is easily 3-4x faster.

I love the performance of Samsung drives. This m.2 is fast and repiable.

Super fast, useful, not the worst price when you can catch it on sale. Still absolutely a luxury and not at all necessary. If you're looking for value right now, go for a larger capacity PCIE 3.0 drive. Kinda wish I had, but it is what it is and it is good. Don't buy any nvme drive for PS5 until Sony enables the feature and releases a whitelist though (just a heads up to anyone looking at these for that purpose)

This drive can be used in laptops and desktop computers. Its considered one of the fastest and safest m2 hard drives in the market if not the best for the money. This drive starts desktops in less than 5 seconds to the P.W enter menu. If that means anything to you. This is your drive to buy and own. If you want speed for opening apps and games this is for you.

As the title states, the 980 Pro isn’t as fast as some of Seagate and WD’s current offerings. It is definitely no slouch though. Speeds are exactly as advertised, and has a great warranty to back it up. I have these in my PCs, and more recently my PS5. If you can get a heatsink and install it yourself, you can save some money over the 980 Pro with the pre-installed one.

For the price this was a excellent purchase. No issues , easy install.
