I have no issues with this charger but be advised that it you want it charging all the time you will need a charging block to plug it in to the wall or you can leave you play station in rest mode but this this is awesome

That's exactly what it does. If there is a downside, the cord is permanently attached, so it cannot be replaced with a longer one. Keep in mind that it DOES NOT COME WITH A USB-C PLUG.

Though I wanted the one direct from Sony, they didn't have any in stock and I opted for this model. It has a similar finish to the system, and charges the controllers well.

Lights on the front indicate when charging but when placing controller in there’s no feel to it actually being in the correct position til it lights up. Uses the usb-c on the front of the console and has quite a long cable which would be good for moving the base around but makes hiding the cord impossible.
