Very compact ,simple to operate, plug in, fill with tap water and select 1 of 2 sizes of ice. Within minutes ice accumulates in bin ready for usage. Some systems specify other than tap water. Until my refrigerator ice-maker is replaced this system is operating proficiently daily. I transfer the ice to my freezer compartment st intervals. One important feature needs a redesign for ease of operation and longevity. To drain the excess water the manufacturer provided a plug on the bottom of unit which seems fragile and hard to release. They could have had a more consumer friendly plug. .

Works great. Quiet. The basket is small but I keep it by the filtered water dispenser and it gets the job done if you don't mind waiting a few munutes

this icemaker makes ice quickly and efficiently, and it really just sits on your counter and does it job without complaint. I have kept this plugged in 24 seven as I do not have a dedicated icemaker and have not had any problems. I really like the quality of the ice that it makes, and use the ice every day in my smoothies.

Good ic maker..makes ice in roughly 7 minutes at a time .. recycling water..needs to be cleaned regularly for better use and hygiene..but overall a good ice maker . I bought one as a gift and they love it. I would buy again great price for the item that is comparable to item of its same size and capacity and ice making capabilities . Easy counter use and easy to add needed water for machine to make ice in little to no time. ..

I love this item, it is wonderful for small jobs, its convenient for our counter top product, it not noisey and the price was reasonable. Really enjoy this product

I was replacing a Fridgidaire that stopped working sfter three years for no apparent reason. I paid much more for the fridgidaire than this machine. However, this Insignia is nicer in style, takes up less room, and is much eSier to cleab than the Fridgidaire. Furthermore, the ice tastes better and I am delighted. This is a great buy and a better value than expected.

This icemaker is great for a countertop one. It makes ice in a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend it to anyone.

I had low expectations. Considering its size, I thought "how great can it be?" I expected that it would take forever to make ice, and that the volume of product would be low. Boy howdy was I wrong. Five minutes and this little beauty was spitting out bullet-shaped ice cubes by the handful. Approximately a pint of water in the tank gave me more cubes than I could reasonably use in an evening. And it fits on my counter underneath the cupboards so it's not intrusive at all. And it's quiet!

I have only used distilled water in this unit, which I recommend. It keeps the unit clean. Any other type of water will contaminate it. Even bottled water or good old Chicago tap water contains minerals , and other impurites that will cause problems. Keep the unit clean and you will have no problems. I like this ice maker.

Fits perfectly on the counter, doesn't take up space, and is so easy to use! Makes just the right amount of ice needed for the freezer. Plus more if needed in just a few minutes. It is small enough to take on camping trips, or even to an event/ birthday party. I Love it!

I purchased this ice maker about 3 weeks ago and I've had no issues with it. It makes 9 bullets of ice in about 6 minutes. It is fairly quiet. I am not someone who gives 5 stars easily. I am very happy with this purchase. It is not expensive and it does what it should do. If it is still functioning the same in 2 years i would give it 5 stars.

Makes ice quickly, and like that it is quiet. Love the texture of the ice for chewing, but will melt quickly in drinks unless you store in the freezer for a bit. I just keep a bowl in the freezer for this purpose. The unit is supposed to store and keep the ice frozen but notice that it melts pretty quickly. All in all, this ice maker is good for the price and small enough to keep in the counter or store away when not being used.

This ice maker is my favorite small appliance. It works great and takes up a minimal amount of counter space. It’s never fails and for the price you can’t do any better.

We have had our icemaker for two months now and it works GREAT! It is very convenient and easy to use. If we are out of ice, we can have enough for several drinks within 30 minutes. It is so much better than buying ice or using ice cube trays. It works exactly as advertised and we have not had any problems with it. And we love the red color!

We purchased this for use in our RV. It has worked great! You can set it on the counter. Fill it with water and have cubes ready in not time without taking up the limited space in the RV freezer. We have also used it at home for a party on the deck saving trips inside to the freezer. Its fairly quiet. It does not hold the ice so you must remember to empty it as it makes the cubes, but that is for all of the ice makers. I highly recommend it.

I am in love with this product and so is everyone else in my house. It is easy to set up, easy to use, even the kid in my house knows how to work it. Don’t forget to run a few cycles before munching on the ice or you will get an appliance taste but the instructions do tell you to do that too. I know someone in the previous reviews complained about the noise but I honestly don’t even notice when it’s on; I mean, if you pay attention and there is nothing else going on in your house, that is, there is dead silence… you can hear it running, and you will hear it when it empties the ice but for me I forget it’s on sometimes. I first bought it to just supplement our regular ice, but everyone loves the texture and size of the ice (you get to choose from two different sizes) so it goes almost all day. Ice crunchers beware… you have a new addiction. Its quick about producing ice and it is true you do need to remove it, but I also have not had mine turn into a liquid form. It just gets softer the longer it sits. So what we do, is we keep a zippered Ziploc bag in the freezer and we just dump it in there after 2-3 cycles. Only negative and its a minor one is, I wish there was a place to hang the ice scoop. Buy this, you will not regret it.

This is a great product, it's quick and quiet. I would highly recommend this.

Works like the day we bought it. Never had a single issue. Just dump water in and 15 minutes later you have a cold drink
