Ended up returning it due the it been too loud. It seemed about every 20 minutes or so. You could hear the water melting and producing new ice cubes, but you could hear the cubes as they fall and it just got too annoying.

The ice maker went out of my freezer, and I didn't feel like replacing it so I bought this. I figured I can take it camping, so that makes it dual purpose.

The ice hopper is a bit small if you are looking to generate a lot of ice, but I found it no problem at all to empty the hopper every half hour or so.

The only issue I had was making sure the little “full ice” detector was clean. If you don’t clean it, it acts as if the ice is full. It works great.
