Great little ice machine that has worked great so far. I was worried that the machine would have a plastic smell when it was taken out if the box, but it did not. Very easy to use.

Simple and doesn’t take up too much space. My 10 year old loves to make ice and store it in the freezer. It holds a good amount of water before running out and needing a refill to make more ice. Doesn’t take too much time to make either. Glad I bought this in lieu of ice trays.

Start making ice as right away. Very affordable Ice maker. Filled a bag of ice the same day I got it.

This is my third Insignia ice maker in three years. Each was great at making ice faster than our fridge ice maker. The only knock is durability. The first developed a leak just short of a year was replaced under warranty. Excellent service. The second went a little over a year when it forgot how to make ice. Just lost it's mind, I guess. The third is making ice great but the pump is very loud. So we will see how long it last. Despite the limited life, I give it five stars. We make ice night and day due to odd work hours so a year in our house is probably like three in a normal setting. When this one goes I wilk get another just like it.

I absolutely love this thing! I have a condition with my nose and mouth, that prevents me from breathing through my nose. My mouth dries out so bad. Sipping on water wasn't working, so I bought this ice maker so I could chew on ice. (I couldn't keep enough made in the freezer) This works very well. I don't ever let any ice sit in it because I chew so much that I constantly fill my cup. It keeps ice made 24/7 for me unless I forget to fill it with water. I have it close to my sink so I just use the faucet that has a hose and detachable faucet head and just fill it up. Works for me and it's easier! I love it!

On my second one and just got it a month ago. The first one started making a loud noise and stopped making ice. Best Buy replaced it without any problem. Love the ice and how quickly it makes it. Definitely a value as long as it works…I feel like my experience isn’t the norm (meaning it usually works).

This ice maker does a great job making ice fast! It’s small enough for limited counter space and makes ice constantly through the day. Looking forward to using in the rv!

So, I was skeptical at first. My mom got a similar style of machine a while back and it doesn't work all that well, so I was worried. However, that is not the case with this product. Pros: Great machine. Makes about a large yeti cup worth of ice (i.e., each basket full of ice fills a large Yeti cup). Filling with a pitcher is easy. Taking the basket out and dumping ice into a bucket in the freezer is also easy. Cons: I wish it made ice faster but its not a big issue. Overall Review: 100% guarantee you will like this. It is perfect for students, offices, etc. I use it in my home and I don't have to buy ice at all (and I drink a lot of iced tea so ice is important!). Highly recommended. If you are an academic that spend time in an office on campus, if your break room in your office lacks ice, if you're a student who needs ice for their dorm drinks...this is the ice machine for you to invest in.

We bought this to use in our RV. It works great and makes ice quickly. I really like that it’s not too big on the counter We like that we can make big and small ice. I would recommend this ice maker.It’s a great buy for the money.

You know, I wasn't expecting much for $100 but this is pretty solid. It took a minute to start up, about an hour and a half...there was like two sessions of ice making. But then after that it starting cranking out ice very quickly. I keep an ice bucket in the freezer and use this to keep that filled up. It works great. Only thing is, the ice is wet, so when you put it in the freezer they stick together but nothing an Ice Pick can't fit. This is 10/10 better than those dumb ice trays. No more being mad at someone for not filling it back up. There are just two of us in my home, not sure how this would fair with multiple people but if you have a small party and an ice bucket on the side, you could easily keep enough ice for everyone. This is definitely worth the money.

Makes ice quickly. My ice maker on my fridge stopped working and instead of paying $800-$1000 to replace it, I bought this. Filled up my ice maker bucket in 30 minutes. Made more ice than my ice maker bucket could hold. Its not 100% quiet, but it's not noisy either. Does the job and it didn't cost a lot!

For all my ice eaters. This is the best ice machine ever and for an affordable price. I put two bottles waters in there and it makes a big ziplock bag of ice. You can make the ice small or big and it’s soft to eat. It’s easy to store and wash. I definitely recommend.

I owned the previous model from Insignia and let me say that this new model is a huge improvement! This review will largely compare the two models. For starters, this one has a fresh new design that uses a sleek (plastic?) silver finish that is smooth and brighter looking than the standard brushed stainless steel look. I definitely find it much more aesthetically pleasing on the kitchen counter versus the last model. They've even cut the size and weight down while maintaining the ice capacity. Cooling seems more efficient as well as they've gotten rid of the intake vents on the left side. Controls now sit on the top near the back which is more subtle and also less prone to accidentally leaking or spilling water on the controls (as opening the lid effectively protects it now). I also dig the new white power cord as it blends well with my kitchen decor. Lastly, this ice machine is quieter when dispensing ice as it now drops the ice one at a time. The last model would drop the ice all at once making for a louder noise. Couldn't be happier!

Our big ice maker broke. I need ice. That's my thing. I need all the things I drink to have ice. So, I bought this portable version to use until our new big ice maker came. It makes ice! It makes it fast. It's very noisy. I put it in the laundry room and closed the door or it woke up my mother. The water moving through and the ice dropping. Very noisy. And still worth it. There are 2 settings for cube size. The large...is quite small. It has a hole in each cube. They melt in the ice maker. But the water recirculates and it keeps making ice. It's worth it. Because of the size and the hole, the ice melts more quickly in drinks. But it's kept making ice so you can refill your glass. It's worth it. For a house with 2 adults, we only had to refill the water once every other day or every third day. I recommend this. It works. These days, that's a big deal.

Bought this for a party and it worked like a charm. A new batch of mini ice cubes every 7min. We never ran out. Even started storing the extras in a baggie in the freezer
