This will have paid for itself in two months. So far it is working well. It produces ice quickly. There's not too much difference in size between large and small ice, so I make large ice.

It fits perfectly beside our fridge and works very well when our fridge is in a bad mood! I'm an ice nut, and this has solved the problem.

It’s fast when making ice. Solidly built and very quiet while running. Two grown men day drinking while camping won’t have to worry about not having ice!!!

While it doesn’t keep the i e cold like a freezer, once the ice melts some, it only takes a few minutes for new ice to be made. I don’t regret this purchase at all.

We had household water problems requiring a Reverse Osmosis system that then rendered our failing refrigerator ice maker obsolete. We bought bag ice for a while but that was not a permanent solution. Enter this Insignia icemaker. Now after using it for a few months It is the perfect solution for our icemaking needs. It requires more effort than its previous counterpart but filling it with RO water and emptying its product into our freezers ice compartment is minimal.

I have expensive built-in ice makers that cost a fortune. I say this to compare to this machine. Mine cost over $3000 and they do a great job. This machine makes ice that is 75% the quality of mine and you have to keep refilling this machine but......it is so inexpensive. My best friend had her ice maker go out and I sent this over as a gift to get by while she got it fixed. She loves it and we both are so impressed with it. Get some ice bags and you can just fill one up over a few hours and save for the coolers. So cool!!

I didn't like the idea of it at first in that once it makes ice the ice starts melting and it makes more ice. But really it doesn't matter. It always keeps the ice bin full and it's good to fill up 4 8oz glasses to the top before running out of ice. It makes it so fast that before you need more ice there is more ice. For our family of four it really does the job well.
